Went to trade in a vehicle. Started looking at trucks and eventually found one I was interested in. I asked about rebates and discounts and explained our trade. The salesman was nice and explained the new features but not very good about following up with info requests in emails. We never got an estimate for the trade and ultimately went elsewhere.
If I could rate their service department a -10, I would. I sent my husbands Dodge 3500 there because my local mechanic said the truck needed several recalls so I might as well send it there. He thought one of the recalls could fix the problem by replacing the CO2 sensor. I get a call from Luke Bult the service manager and he proceeds to give me a $7,447 estimate - which included 1,300 in front and rear breaks. I never asked them to check the breaks because they were replaced just a few months prior so now he’s charging me labor for this diagnosis and telling me pads and rotors need to be replaced. Such xx. They had minor rust from sitting which could easily be removed from a little down hill breaking or polished off but replacing?? Seriously??? So I tell him skip the breaks and skip the U joints they claimed it needed. At this point I’m not believing anything this guys says. Meanwhile he says I need a new transmission valve body. This was over 2000 plus labor. Then I get a call back saying that changing the valve body did not fix the original problem and that he would need 6 more hours of labor to take the transmission apart to further diagnose and that worse case scenario I would need a new transmission which would cost roughly 12,000 with labor. Holy cow what is going on here. A new transmission comes with a valve body so why replace the original - was I mis-diagnosed?? This isn’t right and when I tried to explain this to their Manager Mike he proceeded to tell me that my mechanic was dead wrong in saying the brakes didn’t need to be done and that his mechanic is very honest. They kept throwing that word honest out there multiple times. Well I said show me the broken parts which was suppose to be the valve body and the transition oil pan (that’s right they threw that in as well). Well he tells me we don’t have them. They went back to Chrysler - another xx because we asked for them less than 24 hours after they were replaced them. So I tell him I was going to get the Attorney Generals Office involved and this guy says to me I was going to try to help you out but now I’m ending this call and he hangs up. Seriously? I paid the 4,050 and got my truck out of there. Do not and I repeat do not take your vehicle here.
Service Department is terrible. They are irresponsible and rude. They had our vehicle for almost 2 months and didn't fix a thing except change the wiper blades and the oil. My wife called for status over a dozen times and couldn't get a return phone call. After all of this we decided to show up at the dealership and had to wait to speak to anyone. when the service manager finally dealt with us he was rude, never apologized and when I expressed my dissatifaction with everything that had happened he threatened to throw me out.
Sales department is outstanding but the service department royally sucks. Not a care in the world about taking care of problems newly purchased vehicles have even when there under warranty. Once a vehicle leaves there lot it's too bad so sad attitude. Dealership is only as good as the service it provides remember that.
Took 2 hrs for oil change and rotation w/o explanation or updates or apology; neglected to balance tires even though requested at service scheduling and verbally confirmed at time of service. Failed to connect me with manager stating "he's across the street dealing with stuff." Talked to 4 individuals who passed me from one to another, none of them in management. I wonder circumstance would have been different if I was not solo senior female? I ordered this vehicle new vehicle from Goss but not return for service or future purchase.
We just purchased a used Jeep Grand Cherokee. Scott was amazing! He was friendly, honest and not at all pushy. We will recommend him to our friends and family.
