What Others Say

Worst place to buy a car. I bought a car at the end of September 2023. Eight months later, I still have no title. The title they tried to give me has an 8k mile difference from what is on the car. When I spoke with them in February, they were going to fix it. I have called countless times and left messages. They reject my call and refuse to call me back to fix this error.

Broken promises. Gas light their customers. Belittle newly acquired customers. Disgusting people in management. Stay far away from this place. Not a coincidence they are closing their location mid March 2024. Can't say that it isn't more deserved.

I purchased a 2018 Subaru Impreza on 1/4/24. The car has been mostly great but from day 1 I noticed a burning smell. Turns out there was oil leaking and dripping on to the exhaust. I took it in and they were unable to spot where the leak was coming from. They put a dye in the oil to help locate after I drove a bit more. I returned today and after some assistance from myself finally noticed where the leak was originating from. Turns out it was leaking from the timing cover. They told me they would not do anything because Subaru has a “TSB” for it, which Auction Direct claims that makes it a “preventative maintenance” issue and therefore not covered in the dealer warranty. I did speak with a Subaru tech advisor and an independent mechanic that both said all a TSB does it help a tech identify the issue quicker. The Auction Direct tech also acknowledged that there’s oil leaking in his write up, but still refuses to take care of it. For a car I’ve owned for just about three weeks and the problem obviously existed prior to purchase. Also, oil leaks are definitely beyond common preventive maintenance. Not sure in what world an oil leak is akin to getting an oil change. Overall it’s just disappointing they wouldn’t help take care of an issue that obviously existed before selling and I initially brought it to their attention in the first week of owning. The service manager made it clear to use words to protect themselves against possible lemon law issues… we will see as two mechanics have told me oil leaking in any capacity is an issue not a preventative maintenance task.

We had a great CX! We will refer both our friends and family to do business with Auto Direct!

*******BEWARE **** BUSINESS IS CLOSING per general manager Christina Merritt. They tried to rip me off for a down payment on a vehicle they do not have. I purchased a Corvette and found out they no longer own the car to sell. I had to file a dispute with my bank to get my money back after I had a signed purchase agreement.

Auction Direct presents a unique auto-purchasing experience to buyers who expect variety, expedience and professionalism. We are quite pleased with our purchase there and the superb services provided by Todd and staff.
