What Others Say

BAIT AND SWITCH This dealship is untrustworthy and we have choosen to take our business elsewhere. We are extremely dissapointed this vehicle would have been a great addition to our daily lives. I used the Online service to reach out and was contacted the next morning very promptly. I was told by the gentleman who called that I would be contacted by another sales rep since I was out of state. This all seems fine. I am contacted by the new salesman. We go back and forth on the price to make sure I understand correctly. I was planning to buy a plane ticket and fly out to pick up the vehicle the next week. The salesman sends me a video of the vehicle and it is the wrong one. I point this out and he apologizes and goes to find my vehicle. I am about 20 minutes from purchasing a plane ticket, taking time off work and giving a $1000 deposit when he calls to tell me the car has been towed! A little over 2 weeks goes by and the car is still in impound. There is "an issue with the title". The salesman and I communicate some over this two week period to make sure the deal is still on and he assures me that it is. He finally messages me that they have the car back, but the want to raise the price by %26. "They are going to make the car brand new tho." "The gm said they will replace everything on the car, even fix the cosmetic damages." I immeadiately asked for a list of the repairs, and pictures of any cosmetic damages and was assured I would get them ASAP. Also, the repairs would probably all be done within a week. I never received the list. I reched out the next day and asked for pictures of the tires, and tread depth measurment on the tires and was told I would get picutres and videos. I still haven't recieved anything. I finally started doing some research. According to google, this is a classic Bait-And-Switch technique. It is illegal at Federal and State level. Honda of Downtown Chicago is already under investigation for this exact behavior. In March 2026 the FTC issued an official Deceptive Pricing Warning Letter to Honda of Downtown Chicago, explicitly cautioning them against advertising low vehicle prices and then raising the cost or forcing mandatory add-ons at checkout.

Poor customer service, I purchased my vehicle on September 19, 2025 and the dealer never contacted me to confirm they received the wire transfer from my bank. I reach out to the sales representative multiple times and did not receive a response until after I escalated the issue to the finance manager. I did not receive an apology at all, and they made the transfer a disaster, the sales representative could not find the 2nd key to my vehicle on the day I went to receive it. If I could rate this dealership 0/5 I would.

We called about a 2025 honda hrv lx that we saw online for 23200. Then I set up an appointment to see it and on the way to the appointment they are blowing up my phone about when am I going to get there and how far I am. When I get there they show me the wrong car and I don't notice since it was the same color as the one we saw online until we get to the paper work and I see the 2k price increase. Then they tell me that the car I had asked to see was parked in a different area and we had to wait about 2 hours for them to finally bring the car. They bring the car and we see bunch of damage all over, the car smelled like someone had been smoking non stop in it. We ask if they can clean it and repair at least the windshield with scratches. They convince us to get a $6100 extended warranty in order to get a lower rate and also that's the only way they will repair anything on the car. They say they will take just a couple of days and then they will deliver the car. Mind you we already had been at the dealership from about 11am to about 6 pm since they couldn't get the paper work ready. They took 6 days to deliver the car and absolutely nothing was done to it. The car still smelled horribly and the windshield was still scratched. Since we signed the contract they would not answer my calls after and make it a hassle to cancel the extended warranties. I am canceling all extended warranties and never coming back to this dealer again. Please save yourself the trouble. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a dealership.

I purchased my Honda in February 2026. Buyers beware—this dealership is heavily focused on making the sale but shows little to no respect for customer service once the transaction is complete. The sales managers did not even bother responding to follow-up emails. This has been the worst car dealership experience I have ever had.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from this dealership and had a deeply frustrating experience that I feel obligated to share. As part of the transaction, I traded in my previous vehicle and paid documentation fees that were explicitly meant to cover the transfer of my existing license plates to my new car. Despite verbal confirmation from the sales team that this would be handled, the plates were destroyed instead of transferred. When I raised the issue, both the sales team and Finance Manager Jennifer Stewart were unhelpful in resolving the situation. No one took accountability, and no meaningful steps were offered to make it right. Paying for a service and not receiving it — then being met with indifference — is simply unacceptable. I would strongly caution anyone considering this dealership to get every commitment in writing before signing anything. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience. If downtown Honda apologizes, I do not accept unless they reimburse me for the costs of paying for the new license plates (costs that could've been avoided entirely).

The worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership/repair center. It was supposed to be simple to get a new key for my Honda. But instead they charged me almost $600 instead of the $220 they originally quoted on the phone. And because of the way they work/lack of communication, it took 3 trips to the service center instead of one. AND they tried to upcharge me $2,584 for unnecessary repairs (my car was at a repair shop two weeks prior and didn’t find any issues that they listed). I’m going to report them to the FTC, the Chicago Department of Business and Consumer Protection, and the Better Business Bureau. And maybe even file a lawsuit with the Small Claims Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. They messed with the wrong consumer this time.
