What Others Say

On Saturday, May 11, I engaged in the process of purchasing a vehicle from a dealership. Unfortunately, within two hours of taking possession of the vehicle, I returned to the lot due to significant transmission issues. The staff informed me that they were closing for the day but assured me that my concerns would be addressed. Given that the dealership was closed on Sunday, I returned on Monday for further assistance. Once again, the staff reassured me that they would resolve the issue. Brandon Brown personally addressed my concerns, shaking my hand and promising to assist me. During this time, he conducted a “test drive” of the vehicle and proposed an amount that would purportedly incorporate the outstanding balance from the initial loan into a new loan for a different vehicle. Initially, I left the dealership feeling optimistic about the alternative vehicle and genuinely believed that the dealership prioritized customer satisfaction. However, statements made by David English in a promotional video on the dealership's page—specifically, “My dad (Jim) says to take care of the customer and make that your number one priority”—proved to be misleading in light of my experience. In the week that followed, I received numerous denial letters indicating that the financial institutions had rejected the financing for my first vehicle, including a denial from the dealership itself. Despite my conversations with Johnny Cook, in which he assured me that my situation was being handled, I discovered a month later that both loans for the respective vehicles had been submitted. This contradicted their initial assurance that the partial balance from the first loan would be absorbed into the new loan. Subsequently, Ivy from Tuist Bank and I contacted Eddy Rodriguez, who, during our conversation, expressed uncertainty regarding the whereabouts of my one vehicle that was left at the dealership a month ago. He stated, “I have no idea where your vehicle is. I know where my vehicle is, but I do not know where yours is.” Furthermore, during subsequent butt dialing calls back to us, it became evident that Eddy and others present in the room acknowledged their mishandling of my situation. This entire experience has prompted me to advocate for potential buyers to critically evaluate their decisions in the car buying process with Coastal Chevy-Cadillac in Pawley Island. Throughout this ordeal, I interacted with several individuals, including Johnny Cook, Eddy Rodriguez, Brooke English, and Brandon Brown, and I would assess their performance with a one-star rating. The dealership has asserted that I never patronized their services, as indicated in their response on Google Reviews. In order to provide clarity and substantiate my claims, I have appended supporting documentation to my review. I invite individuals to examine their reply, which states that they have never served me, alongside the evidence I have included that contradicts this assertion. It is crucial to address and rectify any inaccuracies regarding my experience with this establishment.

My Corvette sales Assoc., Alex Deal was a great help. Professional and knowledgeable about the vehicle I was buying, and made the transition from my car to the purchased car very simple.

Service department SUCKS! Brought Tahoe in and they said nothing was wrong with it. They charged me a $155.00 diagnostic fee but they only drove it down the road to check it. I went out of town the next day and the caliper and brakes caught fire and was stranded with 3 dogs in 86 degree weather on the side of the highway. The Tahoe has been nothing but problems since I bought it last year. I bought it used. It has a new starter that was put on in December that also had me stranded in NC and had to be towed, now new brake system for the front, needs rear shocks bad too. I have brought the Tahoe in for all oil changes at their dealership. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! AND DO NOT TRUST THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. CONTACT ME IF NEED FOR INFORMATION.
