Hello, all! If you're reading these reviews, I bet you're probably in the market for a new vehicle. Well, I'm not here to tell you if Gates is the place for your new purchase, but I am quite prepared to say you should never try to get a vehicle serviced at this dealership! I came to Gate and attempted to have my low-mileage, under-warranty vehicle diagnosed for a knocking sound. After a 2.5 hour wait (was told 1 hour, and watched another customer enter, get service, a loaner, and leave before me) a serviceman approached me and outright refused to diagnose the issue, stating their refusal was due to 'snow on the ground', and that I should come back when it's nicer outside. Seriously! As soon as I left their service center and hit the road at 20mph, the knocking was CLEARLY audible! After calling the service center to set a date and time *they* find appropriate, and not being given one, I requested to speak to the floor manager. The gentleman I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful, but said he could not arrange a diagnostic until the following week, which I found unacceptable. I'm sure their salesman are quite genial and the deals superb, but I would suggest staying away from their service center: they seem selective about who they want to serve and who they do not.

I was not very happy with gates chevy. I went in looking for a new malibu. They only had one on the lot. George poe was the salesman who i talk with. I was driving thru the lot looking for a malibu. I didnt see any on the lot .I had too stop and ask a salesman if they had any they were too busy talking too come out too the lot to try and sell anything. When i finally got george poe attention. He showed where there one malibu was. I test drove it. I told him that it wasnt what i wanted . It was the higher price one and it was silver i wanted blue. Soo he could get me blue one if thats what i wanted. We went inside and talked about what i had. I was upside down in my car which i new coming in to the deal and i told him where i was when we started. He brought out the first deal and i shot it down. I said we arent close but thank you for trying. Soo like most car salesman. He comes out with another offer. He 3 different payments i said this is what il pay. Soo HE SAYS WILL YOU TAKE THE CAR IF I CAN GET YOU THIS PAYMENT. I said YES. He says soo we have a deal if i can get you this payment. He ask me too intial it and say i would take it for that and i did. Soo he comes out shakes my hand and says we got a deal. He said it will take a couple days to get the car il call you then. When he calls me in a couple days he says we have a problem. Your payments will be sixty dollars more a month. I said i thought we had a deal he says it was the banks fault... I go and talk too the sales manager who i only know as jr and he talks too me smiling the whole time saying. It was financial problem and there was no deal..,Not too mention he had the personality of an jack xxx...Soo you be the judge i wont be back......I bought one a Dugan chevy they like my money..
