What Others Say

On March 4, 2024 I purchased a 2016 KIA Forte from this dealership. I chose McCloskey based on their advertisement of receiving numerous awards for dealer excellence, etc. The two people I dealt with were the salesperson, Hunter and the used car manager, Manny Based on their ads I "assumed" all the vehicles in the inventory had been checked to assure there were not major mechanical or structural issues. As my review will show....I was mistaken. After purchasing and driving the vehicle I noticed the steering wheel was not properly aligned. Noting dangerous but quite annoying. Yesterday, March 18th I had owned the car two weeks. It was also the first day warm enough to necessitate the use of air conditioning. I discovered not only did the air conditioner not blow cold air....it didn't blow cool air. Was also noted the button used to circulate air in the vehicle did was stuck on re-circulate. Since I would be leaving out of state in a couple of weeks I decided to take the car in to McCloskey and have them fix these "minor" issues. Upon my arrival the first person I saw was my original sales person, Hunter. After explaining my issues I stopped in at the business office to check on some necessary paperwork. When I came out Hunter was in the office of Manny. I was invited in wherein I explained the issues I was having with the vehicle. Manny appeared to be concerned stating I "hope" the problem with the air conditioning is it needs to be charged. Also stated he'd see if he could get the service department to look at it while I was there. He went on to explain the steering wheel alignment and air circulation were a different matter. McCloskey would not be able to cover such repairs. I was shocked. I couldn't understand. My reason was these were obviously problems with the vehicle prior to my purchase. I felt the dealership, especially with how they advertised their pride of being excellent, would surely fix something that was pre-purchase. NOPE...not McCloskey. When I continued to complain Manny said "sir.....this is a used car....you bought a used car." I knew I bought a used car, however; these were pre-existing problems I knew nothing about until I drove the car a bit and turned on the air conditioner for the first time. Manny reiterated "sir....you bought a used car." He did, however, agree to have the service department check the air conditioner. After waiting more than 45 minutes with my vehicle still parked in on the parking lot....not in the service department....I secured my keys and departed. My statement to others who may be considering a purchase from McCloskey Motors is: BUYER BEWARE. I shall never purchase another vehicle from this company. I shall also advise all family members and friends to not deal with McCloskey Motors as well.

If u could give a -0.. I would, to be lied to up front about the car I'm buying,to having my warranty I pay for with each car payment I make, having it ripped from me bc of one persons mistake and flopping two numbers on my mileage to make it look like with in 13 day before I bought my car from them, over 40,000+ miles just appeared but not on my odometer just there paperwork. And Tom the whatever Manager cant or wont return my calls, Jessica the "IDK it's not my handling chic," but told me that it's no big deal, just file a Discrepancy when I sale my car. Have gave me the run around, telling me that the numbers are right on the paperwork, even though the numbers on My VIN on the paper work are also incorrect. Even with years of documentation history I brought to Tom's attention, with Hyundai on paper shows the miles when the engine was replaced was almost 35,000 miles under what they say. Yes, yes they did replace my struts on there cost, but that didn't fix the problem with the noise, the clunk in the front, and now with the paperwork totally... well u know the word.. I can't get my car safe enough to drive bc no warranty. Look this could go on for awhile. My point is, this place I did.. Very highly recommend when I first bought my car. Was even going to traid in this one in about a year.. but no not anymore. I would NEVER let someone fall victim to this place. Now with still everyday calling, and Tom won't answer or call back. I'm stretching my arm now. It's always a good thing to have the BEST, BEST, customer service. DONT BUY YOUR CAR HERE..

Hands down this place here treats you with the most respect and will go the extra mile to make sure you get what you are looking for . My salesman Xavier Jensen went the extra mile to be sure I was pleased with my purchase …. I will refer and be a repeat customer.

I worked with Brandon Johnson and he was very helpful. He understood about my payments and worked with us to get me into a car that I could afford! I recommend talking to him! Thanks Brandon!
