I've been dealing with this dealership for the past 6 or 7 years I am now on my second vehicle haven't had any really bad issues as of yet.
DO NOT get your car repaired here. I made the mistake of getting them to look my thermostat overheating when the dealer I purchase the car from wouldn’t be able to take my car for another week. I absolutely regret it. Not only was their customer service horrible, but they over charge for repairs and make false promises. Before I had it towed there, I checked in with service and told me they’d be able to schedule me for the next day at noon. I also told them I needed a loaner vehicle, which the woman said all I had to do was talk to my service advisor about it…both were LIES. They didn’t even unlock my car until late the day after that and then called me 15 mins later telling me they weren’t sure but it may be the thermostat and gaskets, and then 5 mins after that added the water pump which doubled the repair cost (over $3,500) They charge a whopping $315 an hour!!!! And a $400 diagnostic charge!!! I said I’m not paying this unless they’re absolutely sure it’s what’s wrong with my car. I ended up speaking to another service person who said they were gonna take another look at it Monday. Meanwhile no loaner so I ended up renting a car. After several conversations back and forth, and one with the actual Service Manager who basically started the conversation with saying “Not to be combative, but…” I ended up being so disgusted and dissatisfied with the service I called my dealer again (Mercedes Benz of North Haven) and they said they’d take a look at it and their repair hourly rate and diagnostic is significantly less. They’re also taking a video of the diagnostic and sending the invoice right away. Already leaps better! Never again.
I recently purchased a vehicle from New Country Motor Cars Mercedes-Benz, and while I’m extremely happy with the car itself and the competitive price I received, the overall sales experience left a lot to be desired. The car is everything I expected from the Mercedes-Benz brand—luxurious, smooth, and a joy to drive. The pricing was also very fair, which made the deal attractive. However, the sales process was disappointing. There was a serious lack of follow-up from the sales team, and several promises made during the transaction were simply not kept. Communication was inconsistent at best, and I found myself having to chase them down for updates that should have been proactively shared. It was clear that once the sale was made, any sense of urgency or professionalism disappeared. While I’m thrilled with the vehicle itself, I expected a much higher level of service from a dealership representing such a premium brand. I’d recommend going into any transaction here with tempered expectations regarding customer service and follow-through.
Excellent customer service, went beyond service for long time customer Highly recommend New Country Motors
I brought my 2016 Mercedes Benz E400 4 Matic Coupe for a recall that had not been completed. I must say I have never been so offended by the attitude of the individual who finally showed up after I waited 30 minutes for a courtesy car. I was having problems logging into a system via my on line insurance account to verify my insurance since they claim to have had high incidence of insurance fraud related to courtesy cars being given while vehicles are being serviced. Not only was she not very helpful it appeared she thought I was probably someone who fit the profile of a fraudster. She was unfriendly, rude, and acted like she didn’t want to be there to assist. I’m a black man with dread locs who happened to be casually dressed. I got news for you young lady. Not all black men with dread locs are fraudsters, drug dealers, or rappers. Despite my appearance I happen to be a Tax Examiner for the states revenue department. The service advisor Jason wasn’t much better. It’s obvious he wasn’t paying much attention when I was advised by the mechanic my battery needed to be replaced. I advised him my factory warranty was expired but my extended warranty would not cover the replacement so pleas have the mechanic replace it I will pay for it. He proceeded to advise me the new battery would not be covered by my warranty. No xxxx Sherlock. I received a text from Jason to advise my car was ready for pick up and to simply go to the cashier to make payment for the battery replacement. Not only did he not take the time to greet me upon my arrival, but simply sending me to make payment makes me feel like they were just interested in getting my money not to mention the high cost of the battery replacement. The customer service by those to aforementioned individuals leave a lot to be desired. The individual who came to ask if I was returning the courtesy car was very kind and professional the individual who brought my car to me was kind and professional as well. Those 2 individuals restored my faith in one’s ability to give good customer service. Overall, I was not happy with the service department. it’s frustrating that people look at you like you have no business owning a luxury vehicle of this magnitude. I will never go to this dealer for anything in the future. My 1 star rating is more than what’s deserved. I wish I could leave no stars!
I had an excellent experience at New Country Mercedes. I had my 1st service and my service advisor was John Moore. When I arrived I had a loaner waiting and in a few hours my car was ready to go. John Moore is always professional and nice. Excellent communication always. A plus and 5 stars!!
