Oscar, my sales consultant, was courteous and professional throughout the process. I found the vehicle I wanted online, we communicated by text and then by phone, and when I arrived at the dealership, the vehicle was clean, ready, and waiting. He also had the documents prepared, which helped keep my time at the dealership to just a little over an hour. That said, the finance experience could have been better. When I asked about the difference between the pricing I had seen online and the figures quoted by the lender, the finance representative came across as dismissive and impatient, responding with something along the lines of, “I don’t know who told you that or where you got that information.” My questions were based on pre-approval information, so I wasn’t raising them without reason. I also didn’t appreciate being asked to make the hour-long drive to the dealership just to get figures that could have been provided over the phone. That felt like the kind of pressure tactic people often associate with dealerships. Overall, Oscar did a great job and made the sales side of the experience smooth, but the finance portion and communication around pricing could use improvement.
