What Others Say
I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Mojave that is just a month past warranty and a known issue they will not cover now. Some Engineer thought it would be a good idea to put an electric sensor in the rear diff. Of course they leak and they know it. Poor design like that should be fixed by them at no charge.
My last experience with service unfortunately has led me to start looking elsewhere for a new family ride - not Jeep.
Having owned this Jeep for less than a year, I’ve had more visits to service for recalls than oil changes.
Trying to be understanding, still loving my Jeep and staying on top of my maintenance, I’ve been going to this Jeep location for all the work and also planned to get the annual oil change service.
Last visit, dropped it off with the tech Alyssa, and recall work that was supposed to be 2 hours led to me getting a rental since the the software fix broke something else with the software. No problem, these things happen.
What was unacceptable was our baby stroller was placed under the jeep and caused damage to the frame.
Highlighting this I spoke with the tech and he took pics to send to the service manager, Joey.
Coming back a couple of days later, I figure they’d make it right, apologize for the damage and compensate accordingly.
Talking with the service manager, Joey, he basically says that the tech laid it nicely flat under the jeep and they wouldn’t cover wear and tear.
Unacceptable…
I give you my car to fix for a recall, the fix takes longer than planned, I have to reschedule work to come back and get my car. You put my baby’s stroller under the jeep with all the dirt/grime on the floor and under the vehicle. Damage it. And tell me everything I’m say is ‘allegedly damaged’
I can deal with all the stuff on our jeep but 💯 will not accept damage to my baby’s stuff and any gaslighting after.
I’ll just ‘allegedly’ take my business somewhere else
Bright spot is the stroller manufacturer was super understanding and is working to fix/recondition our stroller Free Of Charge
State line Jeep In Fort Mill gets 👎👎
Apparently there were Dealer of the Year in 2015. I can assure you that those folks no longer work there, or if they do then they rated themselves! They are very good at making appointments and email follow up to get you in the door......and very good at making their deal that may not serve you very well. Once they get your deposit, Jeff (finance) will not respond because he is busy with new customers and someone like Chad will have you fill out all of the paperwork and try to include all of the extras.
I was told that the vehicle was PRISTINE, in writing, before i traveled to the dealership....but....They WILL NOT tell you if there is anything wrong with the vehicle, I missed a 40in crack in the windshield that was right ON the windshield wipers (yes, I missed it but didn't expect it on a 25k mile vehicle). The sales person is good at keeping you distracted. I contacted them immediately while on my trip home........Jeff (finance) told me that they sell vehicles all the time that won't pass inspection in other states because they can (SC doesn't require vehicle inspection). He offered me $100 that he would 'overnight' to make me go away....but he never sent it. He is great for their business but not for the customer and will squeeze every nickel out of you that he can.
They WILL add many charges to the 'final' price so be aware and get them removed/included in whatever they told you was the price. You also need to fill out a 'We Owe' form (do it yourself) for EVERY LITTLE THING that you want or need them to fix or it won't get done. I would NEVER buy anything from them without getting the vehicle inspected by a third party (other reviews corroborate this).
It's only a $938 windshield that's now on me but I paid ALL the money for an otherwise clean (not Pristine) vehicle . This isn't the first vehicle that I have purchased from a dealer so I expected some of this, but these folks take it to a new level. I would not buy from these folks again, there are many other options out there that will not be a worse experience and would likely be much more honest.
I thought the negative reviews were a little disingenuous but I should have listened to them......most of them seem accurate based on my experience.
READ THE REVIEWS and believe that it can happen to you.
Buying a 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneer from Stateline was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made with a dealership.
Here’s the truth:
Did not file car registration or pay taxes but collected the fees at purchase.
No Title. No MCO. No Paperwork. Months later, I still can’t legally register the vehicle.
Unresponsive. Unreachable. Unprofessional. Calls, emails, solutions offered—Stateline ignores them all. Not one meaningful response.
Financial Harm. I’ve been forced to keep paying thousands in loan payments, insurance premiums, and transportation costs while they sit silent.
Negligence Confirmed. Even their own bond insurer (Auto-Owners Insurance) tried to contact them and got nowhere. If insurance can’t get through, what chance does the customer have?
False Promises. They even told me to bring the vehicle back, but they won’t respond to schedule or follow through.
Stateline Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram = negligent, dishonest, and completely irresponsible.
Mills Auto Group = a brand built on silence, broken trust, and financial harm.
This isn’t just bad customer service, it’s deceptive, damaging, and dangerous business practice.
Don’t risk your money, time, or peace of mind with Stateline. They deserve zero stars.
The service department is very frustrating. We had a scheduled oil change on a Jeep that we leased. We showed up and it took 10-15 minutes to even be greeted. The service tech, David, wasn’t very friendly and asked my wife if she was staying or leaving several times. She asked why does it matter and he told her that if she left, they were going to put her at the back of the line and work in others in front. That is xx, especially since we had an appointment. He told her that if she stayed, it would only be an hour and if she left it would be at least 2 hours. She left and came back home and he called her an hour and 20 minutes later and asked if she was there because the car was ready. She laughingly said no but she’d be up there in a a few minutes. When she got there, he was very rude and confrontational. They didn’t give her a receipt showing what was done and she asked several times. They also didn’t replace the sticker in the window showing the mileage. Horrible experience!
Very professional and courteous. All work completed in a reasonable period of time. Great experience
