I'm disappointed that I must write this review after having an enjoyable purchase process. In fact, my family would likely have purchased a new vehicle here within 2-3 years. Unfortunately, we have been shafted by the customer satisfaction department. Picture this... We purchased a GOLD CERTIFIED 4Runner 8 months ago. 17k miles on it. We were upsold due to "upgrades" that were included with one of the used vehicles. We stretched our budget and spent 51k total. Then... A/C fails 8 months after purchase in the dead of summer. Another Toyota dealership's service department informed us that the aftermarket front winch had rubbed against the A/C line, causing a leak. We approved those repairs at a total cost of $1,200. Why am I leaving a one-star review??? Well, we received no previous disclosure that the winch was aftermarket and a possible liability. We purchased a "GOLD CERTIFIED" vehicle with 17k miles on it, obviously not expecting to have a $1,000 repair bill 8 months after purchase! Toyota's corporate offices provided an indication and some reassurance that Capitol Toyota would make this situation good. Remember... "gold... certified" used vehicle. Unfortunately, Kyle Read has communicated to us that Capitol Toyota would rather keep their fists clenched on that $1,000 pocket change than foster customer loyalty. Pretty silly!

Would never go to Capital Toyota again! I am a long time Volkswagon owner. I wanted a hybrid and decided to purchase a Toyota RAV4. I have had a bad experience every step of the way, and never should have purchased from Capital Toyota. They misrepresented, they flat out lied, they manipulated. I have left a message with the finance manager that I used, Carlos Arroyo. Never a call back. I have left a message for the customer relations manager, Kyle Read. Never a call back. I have been in touch with my salesman, Marcus Emery on a daily basis. He has not been able to get me a return phone call. I have left messages at the customer service department and the finance department and never get a return phone call. Nobody at Capital Toyota wants to help make this right. LisaB

Horrible experience and I never even got to test drive a vehicle. I called on my way to the dealership and was told the vehicle I wanted to see was available and would be pulled aside for me. Arrived and got aired five minutes for a salesperson to even come talk to us. He didn’t even have the vehicle details so I had to give them to him. Then he had to go see if it was available. If it was pulled aside for me why would you even need to look??? He comes back 10 minutes later to let me know it was on a test drive with another customer. Unacceptable. I won’t set foot on their lot again. Don’t tell someone the vehicle is being reserved for them and turn around and sell it to another customer. Dishonest, especially when there’s so many dealerships to choose from out there.

Our experience with the service center at Capitol Toyota was exceptional. They treat each person with professionalism, speed and accuracy. I want to express my gratitude to David. He is knowledgable and his service is exemplary...top notch. From buying a car to getting repairs, I highly recommend Capitol Toyota!
