On May 8th our car 2010 Lexus was taken in for service. Since then we have been getting the runaround. First we were charged 400 something dollars for the mechanic "looking" at the car for two hours and not being able to figure out what was wrong. Then they said it was the relay and said that the total would be up to 1600 . We said ok we just need our car running again. THEN we got another call saying the new relay did not work and they would have to look/poke around some more to see if it was maybe some fuses and that it would add another 400 something to the bill. At this point we are being charged for them doing guess work. This is not a game, this is our car and our money. If they did not know how to diagnose a hybrid car they should have said so, brought someone in that knows or handed it to a place that knows. Not play guessing games and stacking up a bill for mechanics looking and guessing. We need this issue fixed with an actual plan of what is being done to diagnose and how it will be fixed . With a set price we cannot keep getting calls every few days adding money to a bill and still the car has not been fixed.

I had a great experience working with Josh, Hayden and Terri on my new 4Runner purchase. Their customer service was exceptional and really took care of me every step of the way. Will get a customer for life.

I want to express my appreciation for Toyota's exceptional customer service during a challenging situation. Deborah Greer, in particular, was understanding and accommodating when we encountered unexpected road conditions on our Boone, NC trip. The awd vehicle proved invaluable on icy mountain roads. Keeping grip where a new X7 slid off the icy mountain road. Despite worsening weather conditions, making the return impossible. Toyota assured us of recovery once the roads clear. While the ongoing payment is a bit inconvenient, the safety-first approach and responsiveness demonstrate their commitment to customer well-being. Overall, a commendable experience, and I look forward to future rentals with confidence.

I DO NOT recommend purchasing a vehicle from Modern Toyota in Boone. I purchased a 2021 Tundra from this dealership on July 5th of this year. Everything was perfect, till it wasn't. They were kind enough to deliver it to me some 3.5 hours away. I worked with Matt Grambo who is in sales as well as Laurel Roberts who is the business manager. Matt was just ok. He wasn't timely in his responses and several times I called Laurel instead and she was super responsive and did her absolute best to assist me even though it wasn't in her wheelhouse so to speak. Laurel is great! I would say that she is one of the most professional people in the business. I happen to work for a dealership and she is awesome to deal with. I also worked with the parts manager to get a few missing parts to the tonneau cover and he shipped them very expeditiously. This issue is with sales and sales management. As soon as I started driving the truck regularly on the highway, I started to notice a vibration at certain speeds (I did a quick test drive when Matt delivered the truck, but unfortunately it was a brief trip and I didn't notice it at the time) I am somewhat knowledgeable with cars and figured it was a tire issue or possibly a wheel issue. I'm not sure how the mechanic that certified it didn't notice the vibration, but nonetheless it is there. Modern was kind enough to reimburse me for the balancing of the tires as I took it to my local Toyota dealership to see what they suggested. These were brand new tires that were put on as part of the certification process. I was asked by my local dealership why they used the tires they used. Apparently Dunlop is a hard tire and the local dealer said it would't have used those tires on a 4x4 truck. They probably used them bc they are cheaper than better brands and they absolutely get horrible ratings on TireRack. After the balance and rotation of the tires, the vibration still exist. This is a truck that is 2 and a half years old with less than 29,000 miles when I bought it and had brand new tires installed as part of the certification process. I took it back to the local Toyota dealership who Road Force balanced the tires to help determine/eliminate the vibration. On a Road force balance you can determine if a tire or wheel is bad (out of round). The values given to me by the local Toyota Dealership indicate that 3 of the 4 tires pass, but they are towards the higher end of the scale and 1 of the 4 tires is above what most people in the business consider acceptable. I called Boone Toyota back to see if they would replace the one tire that seems to be the source of the problem and then Matt emailed me back to tell me they couldn't send me a new tire. They didn't ask for the printout from the Road Force Balance or anything. It appears they are trying to wash their hands of me. They didn't mind taking my 53K dollars when I bought the truck, but now that there is a relatively minor issue, they are passing the buck so to speak. I was told that I could take it to a tire shop that sells Dunlop tires, and they could handle it for me. I guess the tire shop would be eager to work on my truck and figure out the issue even though I spent no money with them. So, I basically spent a ton of money, to me anyway, and the tire issue is now my problem. All along I felt good about my purchased and questioned the low rating on DealerRater, but now I understand. Had an excellent experience working with Kyle, Laurel and Tanasha. Felt like we were old friends by the end of our transaction. Top notch folks who we highly recommend. Will definitely be back to trade here again in the future.

Terrible customer service, salesman I dealt with was rude and made insulting comments to my husband about our financial situation. Also same salesman lied to us about vehicle we wanted to purchase. I wouldnt reccomend them if they were last car dealership on earth!!
