Dch Ford lied to me about service I’d scheduled. Didn’t return my request to be notified ie. rescheduled after I had been lied to. Then the proposed sales manager “Bennie” lied to me when I explained my plight. This is the worst I had ever been treated as a customer of DCH Ford in Westlake Village CA. It was bad before, but I don’t trust them to go under the hood. 0🌟’s.
I purchased a Ford Bronco in Fort Worth Texas. A decal on the vehicle was damaged at the time of purchase and I was told I could take it into any Ford dealer and it would get fixed. When I got back to California I contacted DCH Ford of Thousand Oaks and David Pat gave me the run around and did the same thing to McDavid Ford in Fort Worth. David Pat had excuses why he could not fix it under warranty. After multiple discussion I basicly gave up on David Pat. I called Envision Ford in Oxnard - they had me stop by - took pictures - sent info into Ford - and within 24hours contacted me stating that Ford said is was fully covered. My new Bronco is being taken care of but not to the lack of professionalism of David Pat.
We brought my sense to DCH of Thousand Oaks to have a recall item repaired. While there my son’s car was damaged after trying to get some satisfaction from the service manager, the sales manager and the general manager, it was determined through their pre-inspection report that there was no damage to our car where we brought it there.. DCH that Ford a Thousand Oaks has completely refused to take any responsibility for the damage.
4 stars. Not a completely honest, "straight shooter" dealership, but also not so shady that I wouldn't do business with them. I found a used car at a good price. I asked by email if I could get the car at the advertised price, without any hidden or tacked on dealer fees. The salesman said "yes". So I went to the dealership drove the car and said I would buy it. Then they tried to convince me to buy a paint protection package and a GPS tracking device and an extended warranty. I told them "no" to all of those. Then when it came time to sign the paperwork, there was an additional $895 fee for a "service package" sneakily hidden away into the taxes and fees. I asked them what that was for? They said it would cover servicing the vehicle, such as oil changes. I replied with, you know I'm buying an EV from you and they don't use engine oil and don't need oil changes, right? And the finance manager replies, "Oh, that must be a mistake, but in order to change it, I'll have to get permission from the general manager and then re-do all of the paperwork." So after wasting an additional 45 minutes of my time and the finance manager's time, they came back with a contract that was for the agreed on price + sales tax + around $200 in fees, which is what I was expecting when I walked into the dealership. Not a horrible experience, but you have to keep an eye on them, because they will try shady tactics on you, if you let them.
I purchased a car from this dealership on and within 24 hours, I noticed an issue: a leaking pipe that was preventing the hybrid battery from cooling. I expressed my concerns to the GM, explaining that I did not feel safe driving the vehicle. Instead of addressing the issue, he called me naive and stated that he’s been sued hundreds of times and isn’t afraid of escalation.
I have tried multiple times to contact the dealership and the GM to resolve this situation, but my attempts have largely gone unanswered. This experience has been unprofessional, frustrating, and has caused significant stress. I expected better communication and accountability from a dealership
I brought my Ford Fusion in for 2 recalls on 11/24/24f. A while later the service adviser called and told me that the cars's data link connector was not communicating any information, so they would not be able to take care of the recalls until the problem was fixed. She quoted $225 for diagnosis which would go toward the cost of the repair. I declined, drove the care home, and hooked up my OBD which communicated just fine with the car's computer. So these dishonest ripoffs tried to charge to diagnose and then repair something that was not broken.
