What Others Say

Is a zero possible? IF so that would be my formal rating. Simply put this dealership is less than reputable...it uses shady tactics (last minute chaning of #s) and the after sale communication/support is absolutely non-existant. I have waited for more than 2.5 months for a credit for an extended warranty that I cancelled less than 30 days after purchase (I red the fine print of the warranty and it was highly suspect), my date DMV and the bank which financed the vehicle still do not have the required paperwork, and their level of interst in resolving these issues appears to be non-existant. At this point, there seems to be little recourse other than filing formal complaints with the Utah dealer vehicle licensing division, a consumer complaint with the Utah Attorney General, and placing a claim against the dealership surety bond. IF you purchase from this dealership...good luck!

I want to be transparent because I wish someone had warned me before buying here. While the vehicle itself seemed fine initially, my experience with the finance department was frustrating and stressful. I felt rushed and pressured into purchasing additional service contracts without adequate time to review the terms. There were also serious issues with how my credit was handled that were not clearly explained to me at the time, which significantly damaged my trust in the process. Within three days of purchase I discovered the vehicle had an oil leak and a broken gas-tank release lever. The repair was extremely minor (about a $5 part), yet the dealership refused to address it. After the sale, communication became extremely difficult. When I attempted to get clarification or cancel add-on contracts, responses were delayed or nonexistent until I escalated the issue. Even then, the cancellation process was far more complicated than it should have been, and I was shorted approximately $800 from my warranty refund despite cancelling within 14 days and never using it. Additionally, the dealership failed to submit my DMV paperwork. I only learned this after my temporary registration expired and I contacted them confused about why my plates had not arrived. The paperwork was finally submitted roughly 40 days after purchase. Overall, the experience felt opaque, high-pressure, and dismissive once paperwork was signed. I strongly recommend that anyone purchasing here take extra caution in the finance office, ask for everything in writing, and fully understand how credit and add-ons are handled before agreeing to anything.

I purchased from Ken Garff American Fork Ford in July of 2025” a brand new ordered Ford F-150 Platinum, beautiful truck! When purchasing a car from a dealership many times financing will be available through the dealership itself. In these cases the dealership will get the money for the consumer to purchase the vehicle at what is known as the “buy rate” of interest from a lending institution and then pass along the “sell rate” of the same interest and increase it to the consumer, with the dealership taking the inflated interest rate as additional profit. The dealership may even lower the purchase price of the vehicle knowing they will get a greater sum of profit from the consumer in the end run. I was aware of this practice but I had the means to pay for the new vehicle outright along with my owned truck with title as a trade. The price and all aspects had been prearranged between my self and the dealership and when the truck arrived I was told if I would finance the purchase instead of paying out right an additional $3000.00 would be taken off of the price. I agreed knowing I would pay it off and keep the additional discounted price. What I was not told by Ken Garff American Fork Ford was that my credit report would be accessed 5 separate times substantially lowering my credit score. Additionally I had no way of getting the loan repayment information until the loan began going into default, so I payed it off in full. Do not fall trap to dealer negotiated financing, get your own financing arranged BEFORE you start looking for a car. Go to your own bank, or any other means, but avoid at all costs dealer negotiated financing. Ken Garff American Fork Ford may claim they listen but does nothing for the consumer. Ken Garff American Fork Ford is the type of dealership that cements why people hate car dealers!

Purchased on-line 12/29 delivered 1/5. Only one key fob, 2 keys, one of which did not work. Tire jack was missing. Vehicle had scratches and small dents not shown by sales staff. Tires needed immediate replacement due to wear and were not as represented by sales staff...pictures were sent, but lacked tire measurement depth. I paid for vehicle transport, not it being driver to my address. I would not have purchased this vehicle if the above issues were disclosed prior to purchase. Sales staff at Ken Garff Ford American Fork were not honest. Do not buy from this dealer.

GREAT DEALERS VS REALLY BAD DEALERS always comes down to service after the sale. What will make or break the entire experience all depends on the staff who serves you after the purchase. I have purchased 10 to 15 new trucks in the last six or seven years from different dealers and Ken Garff ford American Fork is hands-down the WORST dealership I have dealt with to date. I will say, Ken Garff Ram West Valley, as well as Ken Garff downtown Salt Lake have been pretty good with my car and truck purchases. But whatever is going on underneath the circus tent at Ken Garff Ford American Fork is embarrassing to say the least. I’m sure there are good people there, so I hate to lump all of the people at Ken Garff in with their general manager, sales manager, as well as salesman Kris Talbot. Avoid these people, and you may have a better buying experience than I have. Troy and Becca in commercial service are 5 stars and represent Ken Garf at the highest level. Don’t take my word for it, read the reviews ahead of mine. This is not a place you want to spend your hard earned money. As a previous reviewer wrote “ they will lie right to your face and not even flinch”. And they are right.

If I could give less than 1 start I would! I drove 10 hours to purchase a car from them, and had issues with the test drive, but they assured me that they would offer a warranty to cover any problems I might have. They assured me that any issue would be covered since I purchased the highest level warranty. However on returning home we had a problem and the warranty (which is an IN HOUSE warranty owned by this auto group) refused to cover most of the repair. I reached out to the dealer and had extensive talks with them where I was assured they would take care of me and I would not be "left hanging" This was NOT true. they stopped answering my phone calls and texts and are doing nothing to help. DONT BELIEVE them when they say they will take acre of you after purchase. DONT believe them when they say they are reputable. In my opinion.
