What Others Say

What a dirty bait and switch the manager Don/Dom did. I work a deal with Shawn over the phone and get the Out-the-door price that he confirmed with his manager - ALL IN WRITING. I get passed over to Jeremy, another salesman, and he again confirms with me that the deal is confirmed. However, when I’m on the way to the dealership, all the sudden Jeremy is on a delivery and I’m told to talk to Don/Dom Then when I go to pay the $32.7k and pick up the car, miraculously, Don/Dom has never heard of me and slaps me with over $37k for the final bill. I show him the writing confirming $32.7k from his employee, yet he doesn’t appear to understand federal or state law. I get Jermey on speaker phone and he even says to Don/Dom that he spoke with him earlier and he approved it, yet this stereotypical and self-destructive sales manager flat out denies him. The nerve on this man is incredible because as we’re walking out and calling him out on his xx he wants to throw out $33.7k. To the owner, Richard, managers like Don/Dom ruin your reputation and make people HATE CAR DEALERSHIPS.

I will never return to Mazda or buy another Mazda car, primarily because the experiences I have with Mazda dealerships, and this was the worst. I can't post my whole experience because of the word limit here, but this was a deplorable experience and everyone here should be ashamed of their work. I brought my car in for a warranty repair that we knew the exact parts and work that needed to be done. The car had already been diagnosed, there were specific codes and repairs to be fixed. 1. They forced me to sign for an outrageously overpriced diagnostic test that was completely unneeded. They wasted 2 whole business days on it. (one of those days they did absolutely nothing, the car just sat there.) and did not tell me that this would be the case. "Appointments don't guarantee we'll work on your car." Report came back with dozens of repairs, half of which were completely false, like needing new spark plugs and oil leaks that were already done less than a month ago. Let me clarify I have no problem that they need to confirm that the information I brought to them was accurate. I have a problem being forced to sign on to an outrageous fee for bumper-to-bumper diagnostics to look or work I have no interest having done. And thats exactly what they did. They reported back an excess of $10,000 worth of work to be done that had nothing to do with my reason for bringing the car. And get this: I did ask them to quote me an AC fan repair which they didn't even BOTHER to do! 2. They don't tell you how long the car will be kept and they will hold it for multiple business days of doing no work. Even after diagnostics I was told (direct quote)"The time it will take depends on the specific service needed, but I can provide you with an estimated timeframe once we assess your vehicle." This was after 2 whole days of having the vehicle and spending a whole day on diagnostics and ordering parts. They cant tell me how much time the work that they've ordered parts for will take? 3. After I pressed that this was unacceptable and that I need to know when I will have my car back for work, Wendy the service rep was became passive aggressive and just said "Do you just want to come get your car? We can cancel the order and you can pickup your car." 4. Upon arriving to pickup the car, there was nobody to help me. After waiting a while I had to go searching through the empty dealership to find someone to call me help. 5. Kirk the manager came to help and asked me how my experience was. I was going to keep to myself but since he was the manager I decided to tell him it wasn't great and start to explain the issues. He immediately and obviously shut down and stopped listening and started arguing about how they have procedures and policies to follow, tried to explain how I can't just go to the doctor and ask for rotator cuff surgery just because I say so... blah blah blah" After it became clear he had no interest listening or in customer service of any kind I shut it down and just demanded to sign for my car and go home. He refused to shut up about it and kept trying to argue with me. He walked me out to the car to try and keep arguing. I just shut up and left.
