What Others Say

I saw the reviews , but I still went anyways . Ending up leaving with more than what I came in for . From the Salesman (Manning ) and The Sales Manager were all welcoming . We got straight to the point . It was nothing but great vibes and a smooth process . Me and Friend purchased a vehicle and have had no problems at all . If you looking for place with reliable cars , and decent payment structure. Look No Further !!! Thanks Amko Autos for all you do for your customers !!!

I bought a 2018 Tesla model three back in October from the Temple Hills location. This was the first vehicle that I have purchased, so I was very excited that I was given the opportunity to do so however, I wish I would have read the review’s for this dealership before purchasing the vehicle or getting into business with these incompetent group of people. From day one all they sold was false hopes and promises. Starting with the down payment. I was told I would only have to pay a minimum down payment of $500. After the paperwork was processed. I was told that I needed to pay an additional $700. I was not in full agreement specifically based on my credit and what was told prior to me signing any paperwork/financing. I paid the $500 on the spot. It took the dealership almost 6 hours to process the paperwork. I was also informed about the $4000 tax credit that I would receive due to purchasing an electric vehicle. We drove the car off the lot and immediately things started to happen that we were not aware of, including the 12 volt battery needing to be replaced immediately which actually hindered multiple features on the vehicle from being able to be used. The alignment on the vehicle was also off which made the car squeak when going slow or making any turns. These are both items that we brought to the dealerships attention immediately. After numerous phone calls and pop-up visits. We were given the cold shoulder as if we were being a burden to their establishment. Just like all of the other reviews that I’ve recently read. These imaginary people were being introduced as the problem solvers and we quickly concluded that they did not even exist. The manager who I’m pretty sure is a Coke head, was the worst person that we could’ve dealt with at that dealership. He kept saying that the 12V battery for the Tesla was on backorder. I contacted Tesla myself and they confirmed that there was no order placed. Nor was those batteries on back order. We ended up getting the battery replaced and the dealership had to refund us, but the price was only $115 so I’m not really sure why they took so long to get this taken care of. But it didn’t end there. They later tried to charge my card $700 which we all know is illegal to do so without someone’s permission. Again, another red flag. I got a phone call a month later stating that the vehicle needed to be Reinspected in order to get The tags. This presented yet another red flag because how did you sell us a vehicle that was not properly inspected. We ended up taking the vehicle back to the dealership so they can do their own in-house inspection. They told me that once the car was inspected, they would give us our tags that did not happen. A week later we went to pick up the tags and was told that they would not give us the tag because we did not pay the $700. At this point I had concluded that this place is not only unprofessional, but they are running neck and neck with some high key scammers. I am part to blame because I did not do my research or due diligence prior to getting into business with them, but it is no way that they should be running a business like this scamming people out of their money, making false promises, not rectifying the issues that are presented, and selling cars that are faulty. To date there is no one working at that dealership, who is able to assist you or point you in the right direction of someone who can handle your issues because they are all scamming people out of their time and their money. Luckily for me, I was able to get my tags and title without going thru Amko. The squeaking still exist, but I have made the decision to cut all ties with them and get it fixed myself. If anyone takes the time out to read this lengthy review, I hope you stay clear of this dealership and there unethical practices.

So as many other people have dealt with these in much the same way, I bought a truck from the temple Hill location a 2014 Chevy Silverado the same day I purchased the truck upon driving home the vehicle stalled and died then as soon as you turned it back over, it would shake uncontrollably I had to spend over $300 to have it towed back to them only to find out the warranty that was supposed to cover that tow only covers $100 of it but here it is I called them for a week before having it towed to get information about what I was supposed to do as they provided me no paperwork upon purchasing the truck after them having it for a week after that, I called to get an update I was told it was done and ready for pick up only to get there and find it still on a lift in the shop. Then I was told they would take care of me and all they’ve done is give me one headache after another and one excuse and lie after another still really wonder how a place like this is a business

ALERT ALERT!!! STAY FAR AWAY!! Danger! Do not make the mistake I made and let these people take your money and leave you high and dry! I'm on 5 months and still have not received title or tags. Not because of any other reason than these ignoramuses just don't give a crap. The sales scam is drawing people in with "Karla". I have had 4 different people tell me they were Karla. First manager was supposedly named Kevin. He sold me junk, took my trade in and left it to rot for months on their lot and blamed me for it. I had to drive 3 hrs back to the dealership and buy the car out cash to get rid of it. Cost me an extra 20k. Then Kevin said he did not work there anymore. Victor was the next scam artist at the temple hill location to ghost me and not call back or respond after he assured me he would. I have expired tags on my vehicle and no one responds for an update. I have literally called hundreds of times since June. If you would like a similar experience, roll the dice and grab a vehicle from Amko. Total classless losers. This place is a complete cesspool. Stay far away !!!

Stay FAR AWAY from these folks!!! I am looking into reporting them. I don't know how that have good reviews must me someone's family members of those that work there. My fiance might as well be an employee at this point because he is always back at this dealership. First vehicle sold eventually ended up with the engine being locked after 24 hours of having it. The second vehicle to replace this one was never inspected, brakes and rotors were bad, tires were bad. I told him to stay away!!!! Then two days before the temp tag expires, noone knows anything over the phone. He goes up there and the car has to inspected a second time which it ends up needing rear brakes which they lied about them being put on two weeks ago. They are dishonest and getting these raggedy cars from auctions without properly inspecting them before selling that at ridiculous prices. Just because people may be new to get a car financed or may need second chance financing doesn't give you the right to take complete advantage. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!!! I will be moving forward with my complaint with documentation.

Three weeks ago I bought a Yukon Denali within the first week of purchase. The check engine light came on. I took it back to Amko auto And they said they would fix it. They had the vehicle for two weeks without calling me or giving me updates. I called them back asking on the updates They said the vehicle was ready when I picked up the vehicle. The gas tank was empty and within a mile driving out of the dealership the check engine light came back on and when it Diagnosed the same issue came up within the next 2 miles my service suspension system alarm came on I’m putting it back in the shop again I would not recommend this place
