What Others Say

The service department here is honestly a joke. I brought my car in for what should’ve been a basic oil change and tire rotation. I didn’t mind waiting, even sat there for almost an hour, because they’ve always been the ones who work on my car, and I trusted them to get it right. But turns out they only did the oil change, and even that I can’t confirm for sure, and completely forgot the tire rotation. The only reason I knew was because I had a mark on the front passenger tire and had taken a picture of it before going in. The tire hadn’t moved at all. I brought it back and they apologized, and I let it go, thinking it was just an honest mistake. Then came the next service. They didn’t close the coolant cap properly. When I asked about it, they said pressure must have built up and caused it to come off. That makes absolutely no sense. The cap is connected to a hose and there’s no way pressure builds up and causes it to just pop off like that if it was closed right. On top of that, the hose that’s supposed to suck coolant to the radiator was left completely open and dry. I’ve driven over 5,000 miles since I was at 62,576 miles, now I’m at 67,799, and that pipe has just been hanging loose this whole time. I never even checked under the hood until recently when my dad’s car broke down and I went to jump-start him. That’s when I saw it — dried coolant stains everywhere, hose not even attached, and the reservoir practically empty. I went back and they topped it up and gave another lazy excuse about being too busy. They didn’t even clean it up properly. Since then, I’ve lost all peace of mind. I keep checking the coolant levels myself because I don’t know if the system is even working anymore. I’m now heading to the store to buy coolant out of pocket just to top it off again because it still looks low. And honestly, at this point, I can’t even tell whether the oil was changed either time. The fact that they left the coolant cap off and the hose disconnected makes me wonder if they even did anything at all or just took the car for a spin and brought it back to me. This kind of negligence can lead to engine failure and extremely expensive damage if not caught in time, and all of it because someone couldn’t be bothered to double-check their work.

The worst dealership I have ever visited. Twice they have let me drive over an hour to see a car that was not even available. Appointments and promises mean nothing to them. STAY AWAY!

Worst dealership I've ever dealt with. Had warranty issues they refused to address. Salesmen seem uptight. Never go there again.

I really would like to think the service department for working Us in to get our air conditioning fixed going downstate the job was fantastic the people that worked on it did excellent job the people that handle it and got us in from the management and the service desk or great see you for oil change

Purchased a vehicle from this dealership in April 2022. When we purchased I asked to have our mechanic check out the vehicle before purchasing due to the fact that it did not have an accompanying warranty. I was offered several additional warranties for a few extra thousand dollars which were not in the budget, hints the need for a mechanic’s evaluation. The salesman was nice but stated that under no circumstance could we take it to a mechanic to check it over. I should have known then that something was wrong, but the salesman reassured me that it was standard practice for all dealerships to refuse such an accommodation and that its reputation is on the line. Because the vehicle had less than 50k miles, I didn’t see the risk as being so high as to not move forward. So here I am with my only recourse, affect their reputation. Turns out the vehicle had several issues, not limited to its power train, alignment, check engine lights started coming and they would not stop. Several thousands of dollars later and I’m finally getting rid of it. I expect more from a Toyota dealership especially one that touts its pre-owned inspection like a badge of integrity. I’m sure that had an independent mechanic performed a similar inspection, these issues would have been clearly identifiable. Do better, Riverside Toyota. My advice to anyone that will purchase from these folks is to demand that your mechanic look it over or walk away. It’s not worth it.

This is the worst car dealership I've ever seen. They took my deposit and sold my car to someone else. I put down a $1000 deposit on a 2023 Toyota sequoia on September 27th. AIMEE BOURNE said the vehicle would arrive around October 20th, but it didn't arrive until October 21st. Meanwhile, JEFF SHEDD is the most scoundrel I've ever met. He said I must pay all the money today or he'll sell the car to someone else. I've already paid the deposit, but I'm supposed to send him the check before the vehicle arrives. I don't see the point of my deposit anymore. I can't understand why a car dealer would charge a customer for everything before the car is ready. It is highly unlikely that anyone would buy or sell a car in this shop.
