What Others Say

I bought a crosstrak on 10/1/25 when I calmed down a few days later, I tried to find out what I accually at an obscue finance company backeast. The closest office in Roseville. I found out they were charging me an extra $3500 for a bunch on worthless insurances without my OK. They offered only to give back $1100. But after 2 months I still hadent received 1 dime.

I bought Subaru 2024 first time, Steven Pineda he is sale man . He very good customer service . He never push he help me what ever I need. The sale manager is wonderful too. This dealership is good customer service and they always welcome me anytime when I need help . I had nail in my tire , I got fix I feel very good about this dealership, l very recommend Steven Pineda.

Go anywhere else. They will make you're life harder with the lemons they polish and sell at top dollar.

Traded in a truck a toy hauler and a side-by-side. The truck I purchased from Young Chevrolet. The side-by-side was purchased from Young Power-sports in Ogden. You would think a dealership with the same family name on it would try to treat repeat customers with fairness? As far as Young subaru goes, that is not the case. I traded in all my “toys” Because at the time it looked like I was going to have to retire and wasn’t going to be able to afford to keep paying for my toys. Also, I am 100% Disabled Gulf War Vet and I just don’t have the physical ability to utilize them. Had a really hard time getting everything loaded and getting it down to the dealership. I specifically asked them not to take advantage of me because I was essentially a captive audience. I didn’t want to turn around and have to take all that stuff back to the storage facility and they knew that and of course being who they are, they took full advantage, I specifically want to mention River Peterson, gave me nowhere near what my truck was worth keep reading to find out why. I fought tooth and nail to get a fair deal but they barely moved , really should’ve walked away, but I felt like I was in a bind and made a bad decision that’s on me . I’ve purchased eight vehicles from Young Automotive, I averaged out what I’ve spent with the young automotive group and it’s about 300,000 over eight years, I’m probably being conservative in that figure. I was told the truck was going back to Young Chevrolet to be sold and I was surprised to see it at Young Subarus used lot one day as I was driving by. I looked it up online and was floored to see it listed for more than 10,000 over what I was given for it?? In fact it was listed at what I told them the high end value was. Pretty sure this was done so no one would buy it , again read on to find out why. So anyway had to take my New Outback in to the dealership to have a theft tracking unit properly reinstalled. It fell out from under the dashboard into the wheel well. Had a conversation with one of the employees that helped me when I purchased my Outback, I will say the Outback is a great car and most of the people I dealt with were top notch.i was told the truck was sold to one of Rivers family members right after it was readied for re sale. Had the misfortune of running into River that day as well and he did acknowledge the truck sold within days of it being prepped, as I told them it would, but of course he went on and on about how little they made when they sold it blah blah blah. You know this guy’s lying because his mouth is moving. Of course no mention it was sold to one of his relatives. There is no doubt in my mind he was on the lookout for a vehicle like I was trading in for his relative, he used his position as A Young Automotive employee to affect what I received in trade and get them a great deal at the expense of a once loyal customer. On top of all this they sold the truck and didn’t pay my loan off? Had to call my bank and pay a fee to skip a payment so I wouldn’t get a 30 day late on my loan. Had to call Young Chevrolet to get it resolved. Do not go here and if You do don’t deal with River. Amazes me that Young Automotive employs people like this? If You don’t believe me do a search of Young Subaru, not the Google reviews the other reviews and see how many times Rivers name is associated with something negative and or dishonest.

I would give zero stars if possible. We visited Young Subaru on 03/16/2024. We were introduced to the salesman, Alex, who we discussed our specific needs with - a car for the next 2-3 years that was reliable and affordable while we work on improving our credit. Despite our concerns about our lack of experience with manual transmission vehicles, Alex insisted that a 2017 VW Jetta with a stick shift was the perfect fit for us within our desired price range. He assured us that learning to drive a manual would be easy and would not cause any harm to the car. On 03/20/24 we experienced a serious issue when the clutch malfunctioned, leaving us stranded. Thanks to the help of a kind police officer and a Good Samaritan, we were able to move the car to a safe location. Unable to reach the dealership that night, we had to Uber home, leaving the car locked in a parking lot until the next day. Upon contacting the dealership, they initially offered to tow the car and provide a temporary replacement vehicle while they repaired it. However, we were shocked to learn that they deemed the clutch issue as "normal wear and tear" and insisted we pay $2,500 for the repairs, which were not covered by the warranty. They also changed their minds about issuing us a loaner car. This turn of events left us utterly bewildered. As of 03/22/24, we have not received any further communication or resolution from the dealership regarding this matter. My question is how does someone feel okay to sell someone a poorly working car and how is it normal wear and tear when we have had it for less than a week??! This leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

This was hands down the best car buying experience I've ever had! Absolutely zero pressure from Dakota, just a lot of patience as we test drove vehicles and asked a lot of questions. Dakota is friendly and knowledgeable and so easy to work with. We also had the pleasure of working with Mitch to complete all the financing paperwork. Another stellar employee who helped make this a great experience from start to finish. Young Subaru has a great selection of vehicles which made it difficult to decide, but ultimately we settled on a vehicle and drove away very happy with the entire experience! Thank you, we will be back in the future!
