What Others Say

They sold me a2017 Chevrolet Equinox which has had major structure damage and never disclosed that fact to me. I wouldn't have bought it had I known. I test drove a Chevrolet Impala which I figured out was also wrecked. This is a scamming low down so called dealership. They are deceitful and dishonest. They pray on people that have bad credit. Liar, Liar, pants on fire. One hour deal means they rush to close the deal and convince people they actually got a big break. Sure if you like 21.0% intrest rate and being used.

Terrible Business. Multiple issues with the car. Eddie was my salesperson and once the car was sold, he would not return my calls. Reached out the management team with no response from any of them (tried phone messages and emails). Unbelievable that they would take thousands of dollars from hard working people. All they have to do is follow up and treat the customer like you say in your sales pitches. Their voice message you get to hear while they put you on "Hold" is "False". The only small bright star of the business is the maintenance department. I say small bright star because they seemed overwhelmed and probably because the business is poorly managed. Although they did fix some issues, it was a long and painful process. I had to engage every step of the way to make sure that the vehicle that Eddie Parra sold me was fixed. Here a FEW examples of the poor customer service by Eddie Parra and all of Cactus Auto. - The car was dropped off the following day of purchase to have the engine light checked (came on after I left the lot). I was supposed to be picked up at after work at 4pm by Cactus Auto to take me to the lot and pick up the vehicle. I had to call more that 4-5 times to get Eddie to answer the phone. I waited for over an hour to be picked up. Terrible - There were some suspension issues and a fuel pump issue, all of which is coming to light within the first 2/3 months of owning the vehicle. They failed to follow up with me, left me without a vehicle on Memorial weekend and I still had to wait a total of three weeks to get the service I needed. It is better now but the lack of attention to a customer that this business says it values is far beyond poor. I only went there because I read positive reviews. Now that I know how they operate, I researched and see that multiple customers have been given the same poor customer service from Cactus Auto and left with a feeling of disappointment and embarrassment of purchasing a car from them.

I pitched a car realized in less than 48 hr that there were a few things that needed to be fixed. Reached out to Xander Swartz. I have numerous emails and text saying he would take the car back. I live in Colorado. He lied about making an appointment to get it fixed. I called the place and they told me they never heard of him and there was never an appointment scheduled. He is now trying to charge me .25 per mile and shipping cost but refuses to tell me how much that is. My mom is 83 and lurched this car. She hasn’t make any payments because it was just purchased in December and he still does not give us a date/ time when I car will be picked up. The car needs about $4000 in repairs. Again he said he would pay to get it fixed. I’ll be reporting this to the police, BBB, and anyone else. Definitely an attorney. Do not buy from this fraud. They are not honest or transparent. My mom lurched. BMW that was going to cost her $26,000.

I have tried 5 times over the last nine days to contact Cactus auto. No one will return my calls. Here is the funny part. After being stranded a fourth time (twice with family members) I realized I could not continue with this vehicle. Please do not misunderstand me, I bought a used car, I took my chances, I am the one solely responsible for this decision. I was trying to contact these people to see if they would help me get into something that would meet my needs. After leaving messages for the salesman, service manager and Xander it is clear they have no interest in me as a continued customer. If I could give a rating lower than 1 star I would. Promises were made by the salesman that were not lived up to. After being stranded 3 times and have to be towed away, I tried to talk to the dealer. No one returned my calls. Poor service after the sale. I will never be back to this dealer.

Can’t say enough about Cactus Auto! I’d give them 6 or 7 stars if that was possible. They are one of two Kelley Blue Book (KBB) dealers that come up here in Tucson, when you get a KBB quote online. They gave me exactly the price that KBB quoted me on my 13-year-old Toyota Corolla. It was a seamless, quick process, and I walked away with a check for my car, and they even provided me a ride home. Shout out to Zander who inspected my vehicle, and had a check cut for me in less than 30 minutes. Very impressed with how easy he made the process. No sitting in back rooms and back and forth checking with a mysterious “sales manager”. And no ridiculous lowballing on what was offered by KBB. Also, Vanessa was the one who answers the phone and I met her briefly as well. She’s high energy and seems to have terrific customer service skills. Also met Tommy when I first arrived. Can’t say enough about Cactus Auto and their professionalism, energy and eagerness to treat customers well. Pretty good chance you’ll be treated very well there and be satisfied with the outcome!

I came with low expectations, but left with great expectations. Victor Cortez made me feel very comfortable and did not feel pressured. I was not looking to buy that day, but I ran into a great salesman and thought hey why not. I got a great deal!!! Go see Victor at Catus Auto!! He's kinda cute too! 😜
