What Others Say

First City Cars and Trucks is the only dealership I’ve visited where I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process and experience of buying a vehicle. After being left in a pinch to look for a vehicle that fit my criteria and budget, I thankfully found multiple listings from their website that checked out. All their vehicles were in pristine condition and were extremely affordable - well under Kelly Bluebooks recommended value! I visited the Rochester location and throughout the whole process felt at ease of how professionally and carefully everything was handled. Huge xxxxxxto the detailer- every vehicle I drove looked brand new inside and out! Rebecca and Todd were friendly, welcoming, and made me feel safe in trusting them in such a big decision. In addition to the car being priced extremely well for its value, they were extremely reasonable when working out a price that fit my budget. I had to stay in the building after hours in order to add my car to my insurance, and they were more than accommodating, letting me stay as long as needed. Plus, I also left with a nice goodie bag! I never once felt rushed, stressed, or pressured throughout my entire time there which was unlike anything I had experienced at other dealerships. When you’re making the decision of purchasing a long term investment like a car, it’s beyond reassuring to have people in control of the process that work with you and not just for a commission check. I am so grateful I came across this dealership and highly highly recommend driving over and taking a look at what they have to offer.

We just purchased our second vehicle from First City. We preferred the no pressure salesman who was there for questions but did not bother our shopping progress. They were friendly, extremely helpful and followed up on any of our questions. I would highly recommend them if you are in search of a quality used vehicle.

Be sure to crawl under the vehicle's they sell before buying, the one I bought was a complete xxx and needed extensive repair.

Buyer beware - They will do everything possible not to honor their 30 day/1000 mile warranty. My car developed issues just a few days after purchasing. The symptoms could point to a major issue or something simple so I called up First city. I was immediately met with hostility and they threw every excuse in the book as to why they would not be helping me out in any way. They stopped returning my calls after that. They technically have the right to refuse any work be covered under warrant at their own discretion. My advice would be to disregard that warranty since it's basically meaningless and make sure to have the car looked over by an independent shop before purchasing. I'd also recommend looking at the Better Business Bureau website where they only have 1 star reviews

I was strung along because the car I wanted was sold and they waited until there was something like it to try and sell me.

My initial visit to first City was a very good one. I met a young man named Aaron and he was very helpful. He was very patient and understood what I was trying to do. However, leaving Aaron out of this, Rebecca, who I guess is his boss ran my credit without my authorization. Trying to rebuild is hard enough, but when someone goes exactly against what you said specifically said not to do is wrong. That's a hard hit and now I've got to make that up too. I have spoken with Aaron. He apologized. Great guy. But because of what she did, it's highly unlikely that once I'm ready and straightened about it's very unlikely, that I will go back there. And THAT is Rebecca fault
