What Others Say

Erica, my sales agent, was friendly, patient and attentive. My kids actually loved the vehicle. Oh, and I believe I paid a fair price. Otherwise, I am fairly disgusted with Benedict. I live 40 minutes away, and Gordon didn't bother to really check on the vehicles I called about. It was two hours between our phone conversation and my appointment, and when I arrived he told me one of the vehicles actually sold the night before. I return the next day thinking I am going to complete a purchase with Erica only to discover a bank transfer (on my end) hadn't gone through. Again, 40 minute drive over, I didn't know what to do. I am discussing financing and personal options with Erica when Paul appears. He introduces himself as the sales manager, and he tells me to call if I have any questions, literally dismissing me from the dealership. Banking all settled, I return again the next day, and this time it's the warranty lady who merely grunts an "Ok" and walks away when I decline purchasing a warranty. No "Have a nice day," no "Are you sure?" Just nothing. Erica and I finalize my sale, and Erica walks me out to my new car. Paul, who is across the room, never acknowledges my existence. He doesn't approach me, he doesn't thank me for my business. He cared enough to kick me out when he thought I didn't have any money, but can't lower himself to shake my hand and appreciate that I came back and gave them my business. As for the vehicle itself, it hadn't been gone through, touched, detailed since before quarantine. The only thing they did between my test drive and purchase was clean off a bird dropping. The fluids weren't topped off, and the gas tank was at half. There are even a couple specks of paint chipped on the hood (most dealers would have touched that up). It's a 2019 so everything's relatively good, anyway, but the old-school buying a vehicle (even used) and feeling like you came straight out of the factory is apparently not a thing anymore, at least not with this dealership.

I purchased my vehicle 2 years ago today. Phil and Shelly were fantastic!! I got the minimum price I was willing to accept for my trade. They even threw in extras. The sales people were phenomenal!! Highly recommend for sales. Service on the other hand truly needs some work. You may want to go to another Subaru dealer for service. I have asked for well over 1-1/2 years for my mud flap and rivets to be looked at. I'm very busy and don't have time to sit and wait for the vehicle. Typically, I'm quickly dropping it off and leaving so my ride doesn't have to wait. When I arrive to pick up my car after work, they are closing in about 5 minutes. Yesterday, I mentioned after at least 4 requests, they still have not taken care of the mud flap, and after 3 requests, the rivets that fell off within first few months were finally replaced. They stated it was under warranty, then when I got to pick up my car, it wasn't done and they said it was $75 and not under warranty. My fiance reminded me that I mentioned the drivers side was loose when I took it to the first oil change. I assumed it was taken care of. Few months later, I noticed it was detached from 1 bolt that holds it to the car. I again mention it and continue to mention nearly every time, but still is not addressed. Another complaint, they never discuss anything about the vehicle. They don't mention what they have inspected or what needs to be done down the road or at next service. Every car dealership I have been to has always sat down with me and went line by line about what they inspected or will inspect next time. Not pleased with service department at all. Also, I had to go back for 3 days to get my car inspected because the machine was down. What an inconvenience for me and my coworker!! They could at least throw in a mudflap for the inconvenience!! Their cost with labor is $75, without is $40 as an accountant, I'm certain their cost of the mudflap is no more than $16. If the owner or salesperson I dealt with doesn't address, they will be losing a customer all together due to a mudflap.

We recently bought a 2019 Subaru from Benedict Subaru, Route 23, Norwich, NY . The experience was excellent, particularly Paul and Jamie. Our salesperson, Jamie, treated us very well, professional and caring, taking whatever time we needed to learn about our new vehicle and all the bells and whistles it has.: a terrific car. I would recommend this dealership to everyone, because even the service department treated us well with our prior car. Thank you Benedict's!!!

When other dealership couldn't get me a deal Benedict's did they worked hard Jamie and Paul are the best......greatest day ever thank you

Love my car, very disappointed by sales experience. They are not customer service oriented at all. They are very happy to work with you so long as you don’t express a concern or problem. As soon as you do that you are excommunicated!! I will never buy from them again. Anyone who is really Interested in improving or committed to quality will at least listen to feedback. They brushed me off when I wanted to share my sales experience in order to prevent something from reoccurring in the future. Sadly, they don’t care.

Jamie and Chris were fantastic in getting me into my new vechicle. I cannot thank them enough or be happier with the quick turn around.
