Mike Mulcahy at Land Rover Freeport is simply exceptional! From the moment I phoned him to the delivery of my new Range Rover Sport, Mike went above and beyond to ensure the entire process was seamless and enjoyable. His deep knowledge of the vehicle, combined with his genuine passion for helping customers, made me feel completely confident in my decision. Mike truly excels at the little things that make a big difference—he was always available to answer my questions, kept me updated every step of the way, and even took the time to walk me through all the features of my new car in detail. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about his clients and their experience. If you’re looking for a luxury car buying experience that’s as smooth and refined as the ride itself, Mike is the person to see. Highly recommend! Josh in the finance department was a pleasure to deal with. He was always available to any questions we had as well as the entire transaction was seamless. Henry was also exceptional! He went over my new Range Rover swiftly and handled it with professionalism, combined with his warm and approachable manner, made the whole experience effortless and enjoyable. He made learning the car easy.
The service is beyond terrible. Had a $4500 coolant leak fixed they put in a known defective part just to have it fail a few months later. They now want $3000 just to diagnose the possible 30000 engine damage their last failed repair caused and refuse to fix. In addition, they sold us an extended warrantee that the service department makes sure denies every claim. this place is blatantly dishonest. This was our 4th Range Rover, and it will be our last. The way this service department treats its customers is criminal. Avoid Land Rover of Freeport like the plague.
I'm sharing this experience hoping Land Rover Freeport management will address significant service issues: Following routine service on my 2024 Range Rover Sport, I discovered my $400 specialty wheel lock key was missing from its storage location in the trunk. Upon returning to the dealership, the technician acknowledged this occasionally happens during busy service periods and that he had my key. Unfortunately, he produced a key belonging to a different customer, and mine could not be located. While the service manager initially agreed to replace the wheel lock set, Service Advisor Sheena Aviles questioned this decision. What followed was a concerning series of conflicting statements—from claims that I must have misplaced the key elsewhere, to assertions that video footage showed the technician returning it (though no footage was produced when requested), to statements contradicting what the technician had told me directly. The issue isn't just the lost key—mistakes happen. The concerning part was the reluctance to stand behind the service commitment, the contradictory explanations, and the adversarial rather than customer-focused approach to resolution. I hope management will review this incident and consider how their service department handles similar situations in the future.
Wife made a deal on a car. It was a “swap” From another dealer, and this subject to availability. We heard nothing for days. After 3 days, they claimed they couldn’t get the car. They had taken money and ran my wife’s credit at this point ( required so you feel trapped) Then they presented backup cars, which were 3% more expensive, yet $300 more a month a lease, clearly reflecting a much smaller ( or non-existent) discount compared to the original deal. It’s all bait and switch and games. Go buy a car where people are honest.
If i can give this dealership a 0 i will.. they actually quoted me a diagnostic fee of 800.00.. just to check my car then pay full price for whatever the issue is.. i think thats a bit extreme. After i asked why was the fee that much, i was told that they are a private company and fees went up as of 2024. the customer service sucks.. now i will have to travel 14 miles just to go to new hyde park dealership. Tbh i think amanda the service rep was having a bad day.. who knows!
worst experience ever never again will I purchase or lease from this dealership ever again. typical bait and switch all lies. don't recommend anyone to work with this place ever again.
