Deceptive Pricing & Bait-and-Switch Tactics I received an official written out-of-the-door itemization sheet from Darcars Lexus of Silver Spring on 10/22/2026 on a 2017 Mazda stock number Stock number 6D6713A. I called Carlos Fuentes (my sales rep) the next morning at 9am on 10/23/2026 to confirm availability and was told that the car was "sold last night at 8pm". I checked their website that evening to find the car is still available but they raised the price by $800. I guess Darcars Lexus of Silver Spring is so hard up for additional revenue that they would not honor their word to a customer. I'm just glad to have found this out before we drove 1.5 hours to deal with them. This car purchase is for our son but my wife and I have a Lexus 350RX as our primary vehicle. It was purchased through Lindsey Lexus in Alexandria and we had a completely different experience than that with Darcars. Lindsey was transparent, honest and caring. We will never consider any of the Darcars dealerships for a future car purchase.

I purchased my first Lexus in 1993 an ES300 I have been very satisfied after owning 3 Mercedes & 3 BMW's and owning 5 Lexus vehicles, I met a young Salesman name Sam Kim and he helped me look at the new 2027 ES350 with a test drive and the RX350 I have never met any car salesman with the integrity of Sam and the knowledge, his enthusiasm in helping me and patience since i'm selling my 2019 GS350 trying to get a clean title and waiting for the buyer to get approval from his bank. Sam has been very professional in checking with me weekly to see what he can do to help speed the process as well as help with the title. I had an excellent experience working with Azaria Getachew in sales and Yafet Teferra in finance. From start to finish, they made the entire car-buying process easy, straightforward, and genuinely pleasant. Azaria negotiated fairly, never pressured me into anything, and was easy to work with throughout the process. I also had a trade-in, and they gave me the best value of anywhere I shopped — better than Carvana, CarMax, KBB, and another dealership. Yafet made the finance side just as easy. He knew his stuff, explained everything clearly, and there was none of the typical pressure to add products or services I didn’t want. What really stood out was how efficient the entire process was. Anyone who has bought a car knows how easily a dealership visit can turn into a four-hour ordeal. That wasn’t the case here. Even with a trade-in and financing to handle, everything moved quickly and smoothly. The dealership was about an hour away from me, but they had the best deal I found, priced below market, and it was absolutely worth the drive. Between the price, the trade-in value, and how well Azaria and Yafet treated me, it would be tough for me to buy a car anywhere else going forward. I purchased a pre certified 2025 rx 350 Lexus last week Wednesday and two days later upon carefully checking it out discovered a few scratches and streaks of discoloration around the car and quickly contacted my salesman Carlos, I asked if I could bring it back to see if they can fix it as it may have been the paint or polish not showing well. He said no. I'm very disappointed with the dealership and was actually thinking of getting my sister there to check out new cars over there for herself. Not anymore. People be very careful when buying any refurbished cars and have more pairs of eyes inspect it for you before taking it home. All they're interested in is getting you to sign those papers and that's it. Sad experience that I'll remember on my next purchase but definitely not the same dealership.
