What Others Say
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
I am a California Notary Public who needs my vehicle for work and is bound to honesty: This is a completely honest account of my experience. I have reposted my account here and on Google Maps Reviews, to be consistent and clear about my experience.
In June 2025, when I chose this location to purchase my 2014 Kia Soul, I knew something was off when I met the sales man and apparent "floor manager", Jeff Cirelli. Unlike his co-workers, he was slovenly-dressed and usurped my sale from the salesman I had been speaking to over the phone.
I am not exaggerating when I say that for the duration of the sale, I had to witness him ***actively picking crusty things off his face*** and speaking to me about it the entire time that I sat at his FILTHY desk, which was covered in cups and food waste, trash can below, overflowing with fast food garbage.
Jeff also wasted my time, going out side to Vape several times. I understand it is normal to wait for financing, and expected to spend a few hours dealign with paperwork. However, Jeff never offered me water or coffee, just had me sitting there as I watched him vape outside. Jeff is a terrible representative for your company.
Here's the main part: THEN- when Jeff walked me through the car fax, he LIED and told me that the Kia Ignition upgrade had happened.
One month later, when I took my Kia Soul to Hayward Kia, they informed me it actually hadn't been installed. I pulled out my car fax report to point out the place where salesman Jeff Cirelli from North Bay Hyundai (North Bay Nissan at the time June 2025) TOLD ME IT HAD BEEN INSTALLED. They confirmed it never had been. This lead to my vehicle becoming a total loss.
They are disorganized and didn't even now what phone number to give me for my GAP insurance and most importantly:
North Bay Hyundai employs dishonest salespeople on the floor who will obfuscate information on Car Fax that could lead to your vehicle becoming a total loss. The fact that Jeff is the floor manager is deplorable.
Just read the negative reviews they clearly are problematic.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND - definitely go to a different dealership for your car purchasing needs.
If I could give a negative number review I would give Negative -5 stars.
I had emailed the salesman (Mike) inquiring about ordering in a Nissan Versa.
My wife and I went in to talk about some details. Not even 5 seconds after we sat down he immediately was up selling us to a Sentra.
We decided we’d keep an open mind and he showed us one of the two on the lot.
He was blabbing on and on about how amazing they. To be honest I completely zoned out once I had seen the massive scratch on the roof of this supposedly “brand new car”. He never once showed us the other one on the lot, we felt after it was a little suspicious considering my wife and I are young we felt he was trying to dump it off on us, he also was talking to us like we’re stupid.
He was very pushy with getting us to do a test drive in a few days we declined and went back to his office to get some financing paper work for the Sentra and the Versa.
Right from the beginning i was very up front and stern that I have no intention of getting anything other than the S trim. I specifically said “I want the bare bones”
After we left I had noticed he gave us the financing sheet for the SV trim. I emailed back the next day and asked for the S, he then proceeded to send us the S+ and on top of that tacked on a paint that was $300 more that we never asked for.
Needless to say after seeing how sneaky he was, trying to throw in extra stuff without our consenting to it we took our business next door to Mitsubishi and we’re treated amazingly.
Worst dealership I've ever dealt with. It took forever to make the purchase and their after sales customer service is terrible. They were very little help when an issue came up with the truck the very next day. And it is almost impossible to get the manager on the phone. Also his voicemail is full so you can't leave a message. I emailed, but never heard back.
ou have to give one star, otherwise it would be zero.
Don't go to NORTH BAY NISSAN if you pay attention, read contracts, take precautions, ask questions, consider yourself an intelligent consumer, and enjoy being treated with a modicum of respect when parting with a huge chunk of your hard-earned money, It will not go well for you.
I could write volumes about it, but you didn't come here for War and Peace, so here's the Cliff Notes. In our quest to get my wife a used Chrysler Pacifica, we found one at NBN and the price was decent and they weren't forcing us to add a bunch of after-market dealer add-ons (the one positive thing in their favor). Then they found out we weren't financing, and suddenly things changed.
BOTTOM LINE: The folks at NORTH BAY NISSAN -- Jasper (salesperson), Dave, and Cesar (managers) and Assis (finance manager) pressured us repeatedly, lied to us, tried to trick us into signing inaccurate documents, misrepresented the car as "Certified" and having been through inspection and detailing (it hadn't), grumbled about us getting our mechanic to look it over (a legal right), unapologetically did not honor promises about pick up date, failed to call with updates, and treated my wife disrespectfully. We finally got the car nine full days after she paid for it. They did, with us making constant trips to the dealership to ask for updates, make the repairs.
It should have been a really exciting and wonderful occasion for us -- my wife getting the car of her dreams. But we were merely relieved that the trauma had ended. Even though we got the car we wanted at a decent price - the treatment we got made it the worst car-buying experience either of us has ever experienced.
There is good reason to believe the most recent one and two star reviews here, and the 96 (and counting) one-star reviews on YELP.
Read at least some of them.
This company is really bad they sell you a used car have you sign a form that it was never used as a rental car but I find paperwork in the glove box after buying it that was rental car paperwork. Also they charged me $660 to reg the truck but when i go my reg in the mail they only paid DMV $50 to just change the name of the owners. That to me is shadey exspeailly when they no that if Reg renewal is not less than 60 days you only pay for the name change of $50 not $660.
My Nissan Leaf was totally dead this morning. Tried everything the owner's manual suggested. I finally called North Bay Nissan service dept (which is where I take the car for service). They stated that the car needed to be towed (25 miles) to their location so that it can be re-programed. AAA responded and advised that the 12 volt battery needed to be replaced. Bad and lazy advice from North Bay Nissan service representative.
