What Others Say

Beware if you are trading in a vehicle. They offered me less than half the value of my car.

Made a deal, labor day weekend. They "had the car" sold me the car, we put earnest money to come back when the bank was open. Continued doing our research and found a better offer through a membership perks program. We called the dealership to let them know we were taking our business elsewhere. They threw a fit- seemed very offended by our decision and went to the GM for approval on matching the price we were offered. Through this we moved forward with the transaction at Clay cooley of richardson. When signing papers and paying, we signed a document that the car had 25 miles on it. We were told the car would be ready by 7:30pm that day (Tuesday) I had a sneaking suspicion that they gave us this time because it was when they were closed - sort of as an ode to their team being salty about the deal we have made. We showed up at 7:30, car was not there. So, not only was the car not ready, it wasnt even there. I had rearranged my day to come back to their dealership at a later time, even though they told me in the hissy fit thrown that the car was being loaded on a truck to be delivered (this was monday) This is their words not my assumption. At this point, they are playing games and we decided hey we will hang around for 30 min for the car to arrive. Get a call 5 min before we were told that the car would arrive and it still wasnt there "supposedly in traffic in denton" all this time they have told us car was coming from the port in midloathian. We scheduled to return Wednesday at 11 and the car would be ready. I call at 11:20 car still isnt ready. When i arrived after 2:30pm when car was "ready at noon"...car was near empty on gas, beige interior had dirty hand marks, was not cleaned inside based on the crumbs and dust on the dash. Why it took them a whole day to "detail" a brand new car is beyond me- because car wasnt detailed. On top of all of this the car has 233 miles, not 25! And the dealership is 50 miles from midloathin not 200+. Some warning light came on before leaving the parking lot about the driver assist features. After they took car back to service for a check, I was not offered any explanation about the added mileage or sensors. Even when asking and calling them on the carpet about my experience- I was not offered any further details on where the car was or had been or why there are 200+ miles on the odometer. This review stands true about my experience with Clay Cooley and their business.
