We drove 7 hours to purchase this vehicle after communicating with the dealership for weeks, expecting everything to be ready when we arrived. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Ty made it seem like we’d be in and out when we got there. But we couldn’t even go through with the deal, the car was still linked to the previous owner’s account, which meant we couldn’t even charge it. On top of that, the battery was not fully charged, and we were told it would take up to 12 hours to do so. When we test drove the vehicle, the battery performance was extremely concerning—it was dropping about 1.7% per mile.
This was incredibly disappointing after traveling such a long distance. What made it worse was that the sales manager, Jim, did not seem concerned and did not offer any real solutions.
Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience.
Drake was an excellent salesman. Quick with answers, and precise with his responses. I believe he will do well as a salesman, with added experience.
Chad Cannon PATIENTLY worked with me for several hours! What a breath of fresh air! He was highly-professional, super-polite and respectful, amazingly knowledgeable (having been in the business 15 years), and had the ability to explain things well. But just as importantly, he was always CALM, relatively QUIET, and DIDN'T TALK TOO MUCH!!! This gave me opportunity to think, ask innumerable questions about the product, and then think some more. I sensed that Chad sincerely wanted to be HELPFUL, regardless if a sale ultimately occurred.
New cars (with multiple safety features) are quite complex, so, after-sale follow through is more important than ever. Three days after my purchase, I returned to the dealership specifically to allow Chad to methodically teach me how to use some of my car's impressive technology. When it comes to adopting unfamiliar technology, I learn best through multiple short lessons instead of a single marathon session.
I worked with Cody, Tanner, and Tammy and they were absolutely amazing!! We got financed from home then went to the lot for a test drive once we were approved. The longest part was financing but we did that comfortably from home. They got me the car I wanted for the price I wanted. By the time the test drive was done we just signed the papers and were done. It was a great, fast, and friendly experience. I love my new beautiful car!! We will go to Albany Toyota for life!!
