Since you apparently can’t post reviews. I’ll just comment it. 😒 Im sooo angry. This is my second car I’ve bought through you guys. I didn’t have ANY problems the first time. Different location though. 😒 Anyways, when I bought the car 1/2 keys were defective and they were supposed to order a new one and told me it would be a couple days. It ended up being a month and a half. 🙄 I finally got the key and they had me turn in the defective key. But A MONTH LATER I was looking for something in my car that fell under my seat and I FOUND THE DEFECTIVE KEY under my mat, under my seat!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 It even had a service tag on it! 🙄 So that means THIS WHOLE time, without me noticing, when I THOUGHT I was locking my doors they WERE locking. But, immediately unlocking. (Bc it’s push to start) And someone could have LITERALLY just opened my door, got in, and drove off. FOR A MONTH. A couple months ago I had $100s in items stolen bc of this And they literally are telling me oh well we aren’t doing anything. Are you kidding me??! 🤬🤬🤬 I’m a disabled, single mom and THIS is how they treat customers. DISGUSTING.
Frenchee was very professional and I'm sure is a GREAT salesperson. I came with certified funds from Heritage Federal Credit Union and the checkout process, well I was there for a little over 2 hours and a half. Now you have curb side pickup, bought my car 2 weeks to early.
Took our 2015 Honda Odyssey to Carmax in Tinley Park for the second time on Thursday, August 30 because our first appraisal had expired. No problem, the second appraisal came in the same Dollar amount 20k. They called Honda that day to get the pay off on the lease $20,267. Great, we pay the difference and walk away. Advised we would be back Saturday and were told no problem. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it back Saturday but came in Labor Day to do the transaction. My wife gets there and is told by the business manager Suzanne that in order to do the transaction they would need to contact Honda again during business hours to verify the payoff AGAIN, and if we wanted to do it that day would require us to make an additional lease payment of $440 plus the $267. So $707 out of our pocket and wait for a refund . What a deal. NOT! We were also told the same process would have occurred Saturday because guess what? Honda is closed on Saturday as well. Needless to say we were not happy. Mainly because they were going to get the exact same payoff on Tuesday morning from Honda. So we decided to leave our vehicle there overnight and make a fourth trip to Carmax on Tuesday, because of course we don’t work and have kids. Did I mention most companies provide a 10 day payoff but in 2018 Carmax takes 14 days to payoff your car . So in my down time Monday night I start to research and find out two companies Truecar.com and Vroom.com will buy your car. I submit a request for an offer for my car and they offer $20,750. So I go from paying $267 to getting a check for $483! Fast forward to Tuesday and the General Manger Rick Weber follows up per my request. Not to apologize for the misinformation provided. But to explain to me how “complicated” leases are ? I was like wow! I explain to him that I have a better offer for our van and provide the number. His tone changes and he says “are you shopping your car while it’s on my lot? Tells me I have 48 hours to get it off his lot. Kind sir I don’t need 24 hours. I picked my van that night after I got off work. Zoom was super easy to deal with. If you are shopping for a car. You should shop to sell your car as well. Zoom made my complicated lease easy to pay off and was actually able to overnight a check to Honda for the payoff that didn’t change. The same day they overnighted our difference check of $483. Please get multiple offers for you car. TrueCar offered 20,275. So since Vroom offered the most we took it and were 100 percent satisfied with the process. They actually come pick up the car from your home. You should do this because as Mr. Weber told me, Carmax doesn’t negotiate. Shop your car, you could possibly be leaving money on the table. I must mention our sales reps Dana and Emanuel were great!
I tried having a car transferred from one Carmax to my local Carmax and set up an appointment to see it. When I got there....the car was not there! They transferred it to the wrong dealership. The salesman trying to "help" really did nothing but blame me for the mistake. He kept accusing me of calling the wrong dealership, even after I offered to show my outgoing call history which did not have a Carmax number in it. The wrong store contacted me after I filled out my information for the tinley store. The salesman, Keith, at tinley did not try hard to find a similar car for me to see since I was already there. He offered to have the car appraised, and came back with such a low number, I laughed and walked away. He kept saying he knew what he was doing and I wouldn't get a better offer...but I knew the worth of my car and I DID get a better trade in offer for my old car from another dealership I visited later that day in orland. I also found the same make, model and year of the car I was supposed to view at Carmax at the orland dealer, with a third of the miles and $2500 cheaper! It was a huge mistake and waste of my time to ever have looked into buying from Carmax.
