I bought the car with no hassles! The process took 2 hours from test drive to keys in hand.
On 3/19 I saw that a car I had been interested in moved from a location in Gilbert to a location in Tolleson. (I had attempted to contact the Gilbert location before the car had been moved, but no one got back to me.) I sent an inquiry to Tolleson even though that is a bit of a drive for me. Three days later on 3/22 I finally heard back from someone who stated the vehicle was on "hold" for another customer, but that they suspected the customer was going to be a "no show" and that the car would be available in a "couple of days". I stated I would like to schedule a test drive in 2 days and never heard back from anyone.
There is no real management here. Managers are trained to screen calls for each other and never fix the problem. They don't honor the 5 day or 30 day guarantee. My car has been in service two of the four weeks I have owned it. I have called management daily and I still can't talk to Ms Kellog (GM) Over all the worst customer experience. I have bought three cars in the past, and I regret buying at Carmax for ever. Try calling and asking to speak to the Gm before buying a car, it's impossible! This should be a red flag that there are major problems here. They have supervisors call in place, but they never answer questions and just say they will call back after checking with other managers. I'm waiting for a call still, and will continue to update on progress. More reviews tocome.
