What Others Say

Good Lord what a horrific experience there. Told I’m confused by two sales guys. Switching around what was said to me. Then “apologizing” but not. Nasty, shady! The finance guy just had to fax a sales copy to my bank, show they are a dealership. However, he wouldn’t. Instead he literally told me I have to finance thru Hertz and ignored that I am all set. So bizarre. Such a lie too. I am a senior lady, so those guys proceeded like I’d believe their crap. The finance guy just wants to get his cut. And it’s Not going to coming from me!!! What a creepy guy. There is one solid person there. Mark was out today so the rats came out to play..… Mark is the exact opposite of those other bonkered nutz!!! Mark is the only person I’d ever will deal with there.

Disappointed. I reached out and didn’t hear back for about two weeks. I ended up buying a used car from our local Ford dealer.

Worst buying experience ever. Yoyo finance scam. Gave them all documentation asked for. Suddenly threatened to repo car. Absolutely the worst, run away as fast as you can!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Tony told me he’d call me about a car I wanted to come and purchase because it was in service getting inspection. Never called me, I called instead to find out the car had been sold on the day I wanted to come down and buy it.

So, there is something wrong with their cars. I purchased a car in 2019 with 40K miles - today (4/15/20, and with 75K miles on it) I started to have engine problems. Went to the dealership and they said there is nothing they can do. So, now I am stuck with a car payment and a car that has an unrepairable engine problem. Hence, I WOULD NOT PURCHASE a car from HERTZ - GO TO a reputable dealership.

Purchased a 2018 Ford Explorer in early 2019. Mechanically the car is fine but came with only one fob. I didn't immediately realize that the car was governed under the "My Key" making setting. You need 2 fobs to change this setting. I initially contacted Hertz and was told "I'll look into it." I called several more times, just to get the run around and told they would call me back. We were getting close to moving and I inquired again about having the fob reprogrammed. I was given a date of 2 days after we were to move. I asked if they could send me a new fob and I would have it programmed myself. This cost would have been significantly lower than having them reprogram the original. After 5 months of back and forth and a BBB complaint, they are refusing to honor any assistance. Also during the sale, we were insulted and intimidated to buy their warranty. We still refused but I have never had such a bad sales experience. Would NOT recommend them on any level of service.
