What Others Say
If you are looking for excellent customer service and a friendly staff go see Mike Jones at Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet. Recently took my suburban there for an electrical problem and they were awesome. It’s hard to find good customer service these days but these guys are first class.. in and out in a timely manner and was updated constantly on the progress. After several bad experiences at other dealerships it’s good to know that someone still cares about customer service. I called several places and they would not give me an appointment for weeks. I called Malcolm Cunningham and they got me in and out the next day. I highly reccomend this service department
Shady dealership. Twice I've done business with them and they tried to runa credit check without my consent. Fortunately, my credit files were locked. They pretended to just "need my information." I purchased a car with cash for my granny and then financed one for myself. I had been pre-approved & didn't need them to do anything but follow the lender's instructions. They ran a credit check, anyway. I tried to give them them another chance when I wanted to purchase a truck. Again, they wanted my ID to pull up my profile. They were attempting to run a credit check again without my consent. Hard inquiries have negative impacts to people's scores, and they know that. It's shameful that they're so callous and so desperately in need of sales that they would resort to unethical behavior. We weren't in desperate need of a vehicle. We were just shopping around to make a decision. This did not warrant an application or profile or credit check.
I had a terrible experience every step of the way. I purchased a 2024 Silverado on a Saturday; I was able to drive it home that day and was told to return to the service department on Monday at 8 am to finish getting everything installed.
On Monday when I got to the service department, they were not expecting me and seemed to be confused on why I was there. At 10am the Salesman that I worked with on Saturday came over and told me that none of the parts needed were there and that I would have to come back another day. I am not sure why it took 2 hours to discover this issue.
3 weeks later I had not received any calls or status updates on the parts so I called and asked for an update, I was told they would get back to me that afternoon, they did not call me. The next day I went to the DMV to try and register the vehicle and was told the dealership had not completed their side of the paperwork. I decided to just drive the 40 minutes to the dealership to see if I could get an update in person. When I got there, I was directed to the service department that after 20 minutes told me they had all the parts in, and he didn’t know how long they had been there. The salesman that I had worked with saw me while I was walking out and told me that he was just about to call because all my parts were in, who knows when I would have been told had I not driven up there. I signed more paperwork to help with my registration.
My temporary registration was expiring Tuesday this week so I reached out to see what the status was, and I was told that it would be done on Monday or Tuesday. Tuesday afternoon I was told I would now have to go somewhere else to get it or that I could get it from Malcom Cunningham on Wednesday morning and they would call, at almost 3 pm I was called and told there was a mistake and they would fix it but it would be way later before I could get my registration.
Everyone I have interacted with at Malcom Cunningham I expressed my frustration and poor experience, and only one person seemed to care or even apologized for my experience.
This whole process has been my worst car buying experience, communication was very poor, I will not return, and I would recommend everyone else avoid Malcom Cunningham.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Michael and Q at Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet, and I cannot recommend them enough! They made the entire car-buying experience enjoyable and stress-free for both my daughter and me. Their kindness and genuine approach set them apart from anyone we've dealt with at other dealerships.
Michael and Q gave us their full attention, patiently answering all our questions, and allowed us the time we needed to make the right decisions. Their dedication to customer service is something other dealerships should take note of. Thank you, Michael and Q, for making our car-buying experience so positive!
I purchased a used car from this dealership that required a number recall repairs and software updates. They agreed not to process the paperwork and pre-approval check in the amount of the loan until the car was delivered and I could back out of the deal at anytime. While was willing to wait for awhile because I didn't need the car until August 10th I found out from the Cadillac dealer doing the repairs that the car would not be completed until August 19th or later due to a backorder on the part. However, Malcolm Cunningham Chevy were not true to there word and processed the check to my bank thus activating my loan on July 26th and I have no vehicle. This prevented me from potentially pursuing an alternative vehicle with them or another dealership. What really upsets me is the General Manager and others has plenty of opportunities to let me know they had taken this action. When called to cancel the deal and have the check returned to my bank. Instead they led me to believe backing out was still on the table and let me make over 14 hours of driving to pickup the check. Knowing that was not an option. I have very serious Job and in my line of work and don't have time to be wasted on things like this. Intentional or unintentional transparence, effective communication is a shared responsibility between the customer and the dealership. I own my errors in this transaction and only expect Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet on theirs and take accountability for there role in wasting my time and effort to close the deal in good faith or the perception suggests this dealership is not true their word, poorly managed.and is not customer friendly. It is very unfortunate that this failed process puts a disstain in heart for an other wise good experience I had with Erica my sales rep and and the used car manager. It's often asked in my line of work of an employee, would hire them again. In most cases it yes. In this case would ever buy a car from a Malcom Cunningham dealership the answer is no. Trust and confidence means everything to me. I don't trust or have confidence in the leaders of this dealership and hurt inside that some good people must associate their name with this organization. Everyone has a choice of dealerships, I chose wrong for the first time and regret it. I recommend to any customer to stay away from Malcom Cunningham dealerships. There are much better dealerships to chose from.
Absolute garbage dealership. Charged us for a service plan without even seeing the price or signing the contract. I called and told them to cancel and refund the money, we were told to contact the warranty company and the warranty company told us to contact the dealer. So I brought the UNSIGNED contract to Darren in finance who said that we DID sign the contract and that they wouldn’t sign us up without having signed it. So I asked for them to pull up their copy and Darren said that they don’t have to have a copy. I had the only contract and it was never signed.Darren was the absolute worst employee I’ve ever seen and wouldn’t do anything until I had to tell him how useless he was and finally talked to the manager who tried to refund me 1/4th of the money they’d taken. Only once I brought up bringing the unsigned contract to the state attorney generals office did they finally return the full amount. Absolute garbage, stay clear.
