Buyer Beware-I test drove a car I really liked and then filled out an online credit check which they said was necessary before they could tell me my lease option. I was then called by the salesperson and told I qualified for what seemed like a really good lease deal. I was told to drop by after work to fill out the paperwork which would only take 30 minutes. It took 3 hours during which time the price went up significantly twice. First the finance manager blamed the salesperson. Then he tried to blame my credit which is well over 800 and then the VW credit company. When I asked to see a break down of the offer he kept me waiting for another half hour and then came back with his boss who then informed me the interest rate had just gone up and thus the monthly payment was actually $154 more a month than I was promised a few hours earlier. This is the second time I have had a bad experience with the finance department. I left pissed and without a car as I abhor manipulative, predatory tactics. The service center staff are nice but I wouldn’t buy a car from them again.
I had one small business interaction with them months ago and since then I get calls, emails, texts. I hate them and would never go back. I don't even own a VW any more. Maybe I'll start calling them every day just to say "hi."
Wish I could leave a positive review as this is the closest dealership to my house but my experience with their service department was terrible. Took my car in for its scheduled maintenance, and the gentleman that scheduled my appointment was fantastic but that's where it ended. After spending almost $600 with them, they tried to upsell me an additional $300 in unnecessary services using scare tactics that were nothing more than lies. They claimed that injector service was required every 30k miles and that due to Oregon's "unregulated" diesel it was even more imperative to have it done. A) it is not a required service on VW factory maintenance at 30k mile intervals and B) Oregon's diesel quality is regulated. Also that tire rotation that's a part of the 50k mile service...never happened. The final straw was discovering that they had spilled AdBlue DEF fluid all over the carpet of my trunk and left it to crystallize. After 4 half hearted attempts by their "service manager" to clean it, there is still DEF in the carpet. So if you want a service department that tries to scare you into unnecessary services and will leave your car a mess, and leave you needing to spend more money elsewhere to finish the job you paid them for and clean up after them, this is your place.
Power Auto VW team worked with us to ensure all the necessary state requirements for interstate sale, taxation, registration and titling were properly done to make the transaction happen. All accomplished.
The dealership missed a key element and now we will not be able to take advantage of the no payments for 6 mos. VW credit says to call the dealer and the dealer stated they have no way to rectify the issue. In short make 100% sure to get everything in writing as once the car has left the lot and the paperwork is signed your on your own. And if you where counting on no payments good luck if you missed out when reading the contracts..... Unfortunately this dealership is not one I can recommend any longer.
Service department is disorganized and fails to follow up and return calls. I called and scheduled an appointment for service, only to be confronted with a phone call AFTER I dropped my vehicle and key off with them asking why my vehicle was there. ??? Poor internal communication and management I believe is to blame. The techs seem good otherwise, just poor management and communication and poor customer service.
