I don’t usually write reviews, but Dan Caffry genuinely deserves recognition. I went into this process prioritizing reliability, honesty, and understanding what I was actually buying, including the service contract. After speaking with three other salespeople elsewhere—one disengaged, one who never followed up, and one with limited knowledge—Dan stood out immediately. Dan is down-to-earth, transparent, and clearly passionate about cars. I initially came in looking for a different vehicle, and he helped me find an objectively better, more reliable vehicle that was still within what I could comfortably afford, taking the time to explain why it was the smarter long-term choice rather than pushing a quick sale. What mattered most was that he educated me. He walked me through reports, CARFAX and details I wouldn’t have understood on my own, explained long-term ownership implications, and followed up when I assumed my first visit was my last. The entire process felt relaxed and human, not a situation where I felt preyed upon by a "Salesman". For the first time, I felt a salesperson cared more about the outcome than the commission. If you care about reliability, transparency, and actually understanding what you’re buying, ask for Dan Caffry.
Buying a car is almost always a stressful event. For most of us, it's our second largest purchase after our homes. That said, I can't overstate how stress-free and pleasurable it was to work with McDonald Mazda West for the purchase of our new Mazda. This especially goes for our salesman Santiago B. We started the transaction as strangers and I dare say we ended it as friends. He was patient and informative with no pressure. His boss Joe M. was also a pleasure to work with on the purchase. McDonald is not a "no-negotiation" dealership. That said, the negotiations were easy. Recognizing they're a business that deserves a profit, we set forth several reasonable negotiation points and all were accepted. I believe we got a better price that what we would have paid at a fixed price dealership. They even threw in a couple of "above and beyond" gestures. We couldn't be more pleased and look forward to servicing our new Mazda with them. The dealership is bright, white, clean with a nice waiting area and some pretty good snacks!
I have been to this dealership several times over the years and i have always a good experience working with their staff. Many years ago and a little this time with Tracy. Most recently I worked with Danyal who was also great during the whole process. Highly suggest Danyal and this dealership for buying your next Mazda. Will be recommending him and Mazda West tonour friends.
We were looking on line for a used car and found the one I wanted at McDonald West. Johnny was new, but knew cars and helped us review all aspects of our purchase. You don't have to have your guard up when you visit this dealer. They worked with us and I drove home the car of my dreams. I highly recommend them!.
I am so happy with them. Everyone from the dealer to the manager to the salesman was wonderful. No one was pushy, no high pressure, didn't push me hard into spending money where I didn't want to, and they really worked with me on better financing. Danyal Ismail was great and I went with this dealership strictly by how professional and hard working they were in working with me to get me what I wanted. Thanks!
