I bought a 2015 Lexus towards the end of December 2025. In second week of January 2026, the sensor light turned on, vehicle was still under CarMax warranty. Vehicle was checked at CarMax service dept., they said it was a tire and they recommended I take it to Discount tire. I took it to Discount Tire and they confirmed it was the right rear tire sensor that needed to be replaced. To make matters worse vehicle had tire locks and vehicle was sold without the tire lock, I returned to CarMax and informed, Customer Operator Samantha Acosta, about Discount Tire’s finding. She gave me an appointment for 2/2/2026 and said tire locks and sensor would be replaced that day. I’m at CarMax today at scheduled appointment and now I’m told only the tire locks were ordered but not the sensor. Apparently service dept needs to confirm tire sensor needs to be replaced. And they don’t know how long it would take to order a sensor, if in fact they confirm needs replacement. I’m extremely disappointed that it took this long for the service dept to notify me sensor was not ordered. I’ve been limiting my driving due to sensor light staying on and I was excited that finally today the issue would be resolved. Another day that I had to miss work. Big dissatisfaction.
Very fast and easy. Much respect for the flexibility they had that I needed because of managing my credit from another loan I was waiting to close on.
