The Dealership That Drove Me Away! 🚙- How Hyundai of Mankato Lost a 5-time Hyundai Customer I’ve leased/owned 5 Hyundais—my first 3 from a different dealer with absolutely no issues. Sadly, my experiences with Hyundai of Mankato have been the complete opposite. Sales ignored my top priority (highway MPG) and pushed a hybrid Tucson that averaged only 24 MPG instead of the advertised 33. I was misled on delivery dates, dismissed when I raised MPG concerns, and later endured a finance process where I was spoken to in a misogynistic tone and had multiple unauthorized hard credit pulls despite signing for one. Service has been equally upsetting: false notes claiming I declined repairs I never refused, vague and alarming follow-up messages days after service, long hold times followed by rude, argumentative reps who interrupted and spoke down to me. Amenities like a shuttle were advertised for years but didn’t exist, posted hours were wrong, and roadside guidance after hitting a deer told me to drive to the shop, only to be told they do not do body repair work. Anytime I tried to escalate concerns to management, I rarely reached anyone in authority. My most recent attempt included sending management a detailed summary of all issues—past and present—and now I’m simply waiting to see if they even bother to respond. After hearing from others with similar complaints, my trust in this dealership is gone. I have gone as far as researching how much it would cost me to end my lease early, and have considered taking a financial loss, just to be able to sever ties with this business. *The only reason they get one star (besides the fact that Google won't allow me to give ) is because of one salesperson. If you MUST work for them, the only person there I would recommend is Mitch. He deserves to work for a better company.
They went far & beyond to help me out that's for sure! I know it wasn't easy to satisfy my needs but everyone there exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much!
