What Others Say

Second Jeep purchased and another great experience. Recommend dealing with David. He works hard to earn your business.

The people at Stew Hanson’s were very polite and courteous the sales person Heidi Brickman was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we purchased and took the time to show us how everything works. We would recommend going to this dealership.

Heidi brickman absolutely cool to work with I started out going after one vehicle in midfinance I switched to a truck didn't faze the young lady abit she made it work perfectly very happy

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a '22 Cadillac XT5 yesterday. The staff was wonderful. Starting with El Hadj, our salesman, to managers Mark Moretti, Scott Downard and Jerry Bill Fiinally Izzy, in finance. Izzy gave a wonderful explanation of our options and got us great rate even with rates so high across the nation. Thanks to all of you!!

Liars and cheats. I spent $29k for a used car with front bumper damage and a promise that they would replace that bumper. I've had the car over a year now and still they refuse to pay the total amount for bumper repair. They'll say anything to sell a car and are NOT true to their word.

I tend to give reviews when service has been above and beyond. This isn’t the case in this review, the service and off putting conversation I had with the service advisor has me feeling very unsettled about Stew Hansens Service Department. My Jeep would not go over 40 mph, check engine light came on the ABS light came. I immediately drove it to the service department. I explained that the exact same thing happened almost a year ago and I spent $1900.00 to get it fixed. They were accommodating and said they would try to look at it that day to determine what was wrong. I also asked that they do an oil change because the “time for oil change” light had come on the week before. That afternoon I received a call from the advisor. He asked if I had an extended warranty, no I do not. He said I had Internal engine failure and needed a new engine. I asked how much is that and he nonchalantly said $12,100.00. I asked what my options were because I wasn’t going to do that. He replied my options were get a new engine or get a new car. Fast forward to today. My daughter and her husband had the Jeep towed to their home town and are now driving the Jeep and have put several hundred miles on it driving it to Chicago one weekend and Decorah the next. They have put $0.00 into it as of today and paid for an unnecessary tow. Is there something wrong with it ?YES I do believe there is something wrong with the Jeep and it is being monitored by someone that is trustworthy. But the fact that the service advisor Tony gave me the 2 options of 1. A new $12,100 engine or B a new car is very concerning and so off putting. Ironically they charged me for the diagnostic testing and although I was told total engine failure they went ahead with the oil change and charged me for that? Makes for a lot of questions as well. There is my story I hope this makes others pause before listening to the service advisors at Stew Hansens.. You do have other options in the Des Moines area find someone that actually cares about the customer. Thankfully I had that feeling in the pit of my stomach that something was not right. Oh and I bought my self a brand new 2024 car not from them 😊 Like
