The experience was good and so were the people, the service, on the other hand, was terrible for the simple reason. I had my car inspected at the Dealership but the garage I bought the car from was not going to pay that price so I had to find another garage (Carlton Motors). The dealership said that my brake discs had issues and should be replaced were Carlton Motors said they are fine. Everything else was fixed and paid by the garage I have purchased the car from. Fast forward a week later I started hearing squeaky coming from the outside and I knew it must be the brakes. Called Carlton Motors and booked the car in again and this time they said that it is because of the brake discs but it should pass. This was almost over 3 months ago. Now I have to pay for them because the garage won't pay for something that I might've messed up even though Carlton Motors should've replaced them instead of assuming they are ok.
I decided to use this dealership after reading reviews on how nice and honest the owners were. I purchased a 2007 Ford F-250 from them after they informed me their "mechanic" checked the vehicle out and saw no issues. Within 24 hours of purchasing the vehicle, the alternator went out and I had to replace it. I informed the dealership and they provided absolutely no assistance and could only say "sorry". Another two weeks passed by and I then noticed a massive coolant leak coming from the engine. I took it to the Ford dealership and they informed me the truck had leaks in the water pump and EGR valve. Carlton Motors told me the truck was "bulletproofed" when I purchased it, meaning the EGR Valve had been deleted when it in fact had not. I had to drop thousands of dollars in repairs to my vehicle within the first month of my purchase and the dealership would not offer any assistance. I am very displeased with this dealership and have little faith in their "mechanic".
Everyone at Carlton is a pleasure to work with, My wife and I have bought cars at this dealership, and we have been servicing our cars there for at least seven years since moving to the Greenville area. We are totally satisfied with the members of the sales department, service department and parts department.
Misrepresentation of a car and features, as well as price , when asked about it we were called ignorant, told we couldn't afford it anyway, and asked to leave. I requested a manager due to sales person giving bad info, the manager would not speak to us, assumed we couldn't afford car and told us to leave.
