MY MOM BOUGHT A CAR HERE FOR 10,000 AND THEY TOOK ADVANGE OF HER. THEY COMPLETELY LIED AND SAID IT WAS RUNNING GREAT BUT NOW THAT SHE'S HAD IT AND DROVE IT FOR A WEEK SHE'S FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS ABOUT ANOTHER 10,000 WORTH OF REPAIRS IT NEEDS. SHE TOLD THEM ABOUT IT AND THEY TOLD HER WE DON'T HAVE TO DISCLOSE THAT INFORMATION AMD TOLD HER TO GET A LAWYER. THEY SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE IN GLENNS FERRY WITHOUT CALLING HER FIRST AND BAITED HER INTO BUYING THIS TRUCK. THEY TOOK ADVANGE OF HER MENTAL STATE BECAUSE SHE WAS HAVING A HARD TIME AND NOW SHE'S STUCK MAKING PAYMENTS ON A BROKEN TRUCK. DON'T GO HERE. THESE PEOPLE PREY ON OTHERS WEAKNESSES AND DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT STEALING FROM PEOPLE IN NEED.
Both people that I had the "pleasure" to deal with in this used car dealership were a mess to deal with. At first the salesman named Miguel seemed very kind but I did see through it and tried to avoid becoming friendly with him to avoid issues later on in the negotiation process. I choose car that I loved, a Ford, and then we go inside. Well, I was unsure if they would give me credit because of my age. I have a 740 credit score even though I'm young but they refused to give me credit because I'm currently a full time student. They ran my dad's and he had a perfect credit score but they still gave us 7.9% which is ridiculous and obvious credit discrimination. So then I decide that I might take it anyway since I need a better car to go to my doctors appointments. But I would only do it if they lowered it to something closer to the market value. It was currently at 20% above market value and plus, they don't buy it at market value, sometimes they buy it for 10-50% below market value. So I figured I could probably get it down to 2-10% above market and make the high interest worth it. Well, the German guy that assisted me after the salesman named Miguel ruined the deal. He kept telling me that they couldn't go any lower but offered to drop it to 16% above market value (only a 4% drop). They said that I was risky and they had to pay the bank a high fee to make up for the risk. If he could have dropped it a little more I might have taken the bait even though I knew that he was making up these fake fees. But right as I was about to make a decision, Miguel walks in and tells me that it's my fault for going to school full time and that I should have given a higher deposit and even went as far as blaming my dad. Then, at this point, I was very angry but I was going to give them one more chance to lower the price before I walked out. But suddenly the guy Miguel told my dad to go outside and escorted him. This was very rude and so I told them thank you, but no thank you, and walked out.
My husband was looking for a convertible and when we saw one at thrifty car sales we were sure that since Middlekauff owns it we would have no problems buying here...little did we know. Their bathrooms did not work which made the place smell horrible! we had to go all the way to the Honda building. We asked for water and were given WARM WATER (in the summer?) Keep in mind that we were buying a used car, which made us less important customers to these people...the sales man was supposed to clean the car while we waited for the paper work, and trust me it needed cleaning. But apparently cleaning it meant wiping the windshield with glass cleaner and done! after being there for more than 4 hours I finally lost my patience and since I was almost 6 months pregnant I decided to leave and go get some food, which upset the sales man because "I needed to sign paperwork" (which was not ready)....are you serious??? after the paperwork was signed, we went out to the car to leave rolled down the windows and noticed that one of the back windows wouldn't work, when we asked the sales man about it he threw his hands up in the air and said "oh well". Buying a car is supposed to be a good experience, but it was one of the worst ones I've had...
When we first stopped in to buy a vehicle at Thrifty in Twin Falls we were excited at the opportunity. But after we drove off the lot in a 2004 Cadillac Escalade two months ago. We started having horrible problems with the car and the service. They sold us on gas milage. It gets 13-17 on the freeway. Much less the. Promised by the salesman. It had horrible A/C problems and it had two blown air bags in the rear suspension. Which we were told was a simple tire gage problem. It turns out that it's a fix that would cost over a thousand dollars to fix. So in the end. Our review is that Thrifty screwed us out of a decent vehicle that we spent a lot of money on. Thrifty Car Sales was the best choice I could have made in buying a car in Twin Falls Idaho. The salesmen were friendly, helpful, and not the "pressure attack" run-of-the-mill salesmen. They respected my space and decisions, worked tirelessly to get me the best loan, and even suggested a better insurance company. I would refer them to anyone, and have on a few occasions. Everyone I have sent to Thrifty has drove away happy in a Thrifty car. I drop in time to time to say hello and they always remember who I am. The Dealer-Buyer relationship is spectacular!
