Today my elderly mother took her 2020 Ford Escape in for factory service. She was treated poorly by one of two service personnel and he was very inattentive to her needs or concerns with the vehicle. After a short time period, she was advised her vehicle service was completed but found no reason for the service display wrench icon, speculating that her oil simply needed changed. This vehicle was purchased new from Waikem Ford & has less than 17,000 miles. She was charged $90 for an oil change & tire rotation. The service rep also failed to deduct a $10 service coupon she presented prior to the vehicle being serviced, promising to make it up to her "next time." After speaking with her today, I can assure the Diehl management team both in Massillon & Butler PA she nor any other member of our family will patronize any of your dealerships again for service or sales. We have long supported the Waikem family of dealerships having lived in the Massillon area for over 55 years. My wife & I personally have purchased over 12 new & used cars from Waikem over the decades but no longer. Perhaps Corinna Diehl needs more stringent oversight of the Massillon operations to ensure the total lack of concern to customers is remedied but any corrective action will be too late for us.
TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY! My 73 year old mother purchased a vehicle from Diehl in Massillon, Ohio. This vehicle had a steering column replacement. The sales people said the vehicle was sound. She has driven it twice. The second time she drove it, the steering was making an awful grinding sound. I then drove it and checked the power steering fluid. It was empty. Since then, she has gotten the run around, took the vehicle back in to be looked at. Was told the steering column they installed was a faulty part. Has had the vehicle now for another week with no information. She went back in. Was treated with unacceptable rudeness by their GM, Chris. She is now at home not feeling well from the stress of this situation, thus I, her daughter, went in to discuss getting her money back for this UNSAFE VEHICLE she was sold. Even with repairs, this would still be an UNSAFE VEHICLE! I was told the matter couldn’t be discussed with me, as if it was a medical matter! After our brief interaction, the GM, CHRIS, walked out of the dealership leaving me inside to stew. My mother is saddened and upset. I am beyond livid! I have never come across a business that not only sells UNSAFE VEHICLES TO ANYONE, BUT THEN DISRESPECTS AN ELDERLY PERSON! Legally, with the Ohio Consumer Sales Practices Act, she is 1000% entitled to her money back, but you would think that on a personal note, this business would simply APOLOGIZE FOR PUTTING HER IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION and refund her money immediately! BEWARE OF THESE DIEHL DEALERSHIPS! My mother was even told she wasn’t worthy of speaking to the owner. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!

On this particular day, my dashboard sent a msg about a tire problem..I stopped by the tire/lube shop to have my tires checked, b/c I purchased one several days prior from there. I must say, the personnel were very helpful as always. Keep employing workers Who Care.
