Air conditioner on the blink. Went online and discovered a specific service bulletin -- the car has an issue with AC. Little did I know the service department at Colonial was turning that defect into a profit center. Sad. Will never return.

Took my 2019 Subaru Ascent in for an oil change and annual inspections yesterday. I want to highlight my interactions with Shantell, the receptionist in the service dept. She is the personification of the face of good customer service, making sure you're checked in quickly and efficiently, tracking your vehicle work progress and providing detailed summary of work results. She also suggested future short term maintenance needs (tires for winter, replace rear brake pads). She even helped me save some money with a service discount currently running...every little bit helps. I will be back. Kudos, Shantell!!!

In late May I purchased a 2022 Legacy Touring XT from Colonial. They were fair and receptive vis-a-vis the price and valued my trade in within market parameters. I particularly enjoyed working with Peter Paray, sales associate. He was accommodating and professional. A nice dealership which is highly recommended.

The dealership is in Danbury, CT which is pretty far from Teaneck, NJ. I called and spoke with Lily who was my salesperson. I told her what I wanted and that I had a 2019 Subaru to trade in. First, she wanted to see pictures of my car. I called and asked for her e-mail address so that I could send the pictures. She was quite snippy and said it was on the e-mail that she had sent me. I looked for the e-mail address and called back. Then, she gave me her e-mail address. I asked for a bottom line payment. She provided me with the cost of the new car which was very expensive because she had not included a price for my trade-in. Her manager sent me an e-mail and I relayed this to him. She then said she would not give me a bottom line figure until I brought my car in to their dealership. I am not interested in driving to Danbury, CT.
