What Others Say

Oh I have more than 15 words! Corrupt!!!Corrupt!!!! They claim Operator ERROR for car breaking down. But they don't know why engine quit cause they only checked a couple things. Factory warranty is not going to cover repair!!! DO NOT BUY FROM WITHNELL!!!! Got an extended warranty as well but it wasn't in effect yet by a week or so. They'll sell you a car and dump you high and dry! CORRUPT!!! If I had a car I would picket your business! DISCUSTING. HOPEFULLY I SAVE SOMEONE FROM BUYING FROM YOUR CRAPPY PLACE! you have not heard the last from ME!

Whitnell Motors has a top notch team and operation; Tim and team were professional and great to deal with.

Quoted $500 to replace thermostat on 2018 Ram 2500. This involves removing 7 bolts and two clamps to replace a $30 part. Did it myself for $38 to include coolant in less than 1/2 hour. Customer beware...

We recently bought a RAM Truck at Withnell and enjoyed a very good experience. Our salesman Chris was pleasant and informative. He knew a lot about the truck and was able to answer all our questions. There was no pressure from him, which we appreciated. Sincerely, John and Teresa Boes

I live within a couple of miles from Salem, and I always try to spend my money close to home - especially when I am shopping for a major purchase like a car. Since 2008, when I first attempted to buy a car from Withnell Dodge, I have bought 6 new cars - always from OTHER dealers. Each time when I have wanted to buy a new car, I have first tried to reach a deal with Withnell Dodge, only to be discouraged by staff who seem to have no interest in selling anything. Most recently, beginning months ago in July, I repeatedly (3 times) tried to buy a RAM pickup (Stock #: D1476; Model Code: DT6H98, VIN 1C6SRFFM4MN701524; MSRP $59,335), the same truck that is still for sale as I write this review late in September, 2021, and is likely to remain "available" indefinitely. Before giving up on Withnell for the 6th time, and buying a similar truck a few days ago at Wilsonville Jeep RAM (a dealership I highly recommend, incidentally), I had absolutely BEGGED Withnell to give me a reasonable price (or ANY price) for the aforementioned truck in their inventory. As always, I was chased away by the cavalier, unhelpful staff at Withnell. In this case, Matt, a manager to whom I was referred when I requested an actual price (WHICH WAS UNAVAILABLE ONLINE), seemed to be emotionally attached to his inventory. During a time when virtually every other dealer is offering at least modest discounts in addition to factory incentives, and openly displaying their prices online, Matt raised his voice at me on the phone, and practically shouted "Somebody will pay $4,000 over MSRP for this truck." That was as close as Matt was willing to go toward providing an actual, definite price for his truck. He absolutely REFUSED to give me a definite price. Then, weeks later, Jocee sent a follow-up email asking if Withnell had "met my standards". When I replied "No, I was not given the price I requested", Jocee suggested (through innuendo) that I had lied. She replied on September 4th "As you've been previously told by our sales manager, the price of this truck is the MSRP of $59,335 + a non-negotiable market adjustment of $3,998 + your local DMV fees and taxes. So The vehicle would be $63,333 + DMV fees/taxes." That was her entire message, and THAT was the first time anyone had been willing to provide a definite price on their truck - and there was no mention in her message of the current factory incentives. When I replied that same day that she was mistaken in assuming I had lied when I said I had NOT been given a price previously, I never heard from Withnell again. So, after trying again for MONTHS to buy from Withnell, I bought at a less convenient location a 6th time, this time in Wilsonville, almost 40 miles from my residence. Potential Withnell customers need to know that there are MUCH better places to go for a new Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge/RAM, and the owners of the Withnell Dodge dealership need to know how VERY POORLY the business is being managed - and how rudely customers who approach their store are being treated. It amazes me that the store has managed to survive all these years, despite a culture that harbors employees with such surly attitudes. It is a veritable pity.

Just got in guy on the front desk Not friendly, not listening well, after admitting he is wrong, not even apologized, new 2020 Ram 2000 miles, Alighment not good, been waiting for Alighment/ bad service still issues, , after 1/2 hour drive came back- shop is not open from 12-1pm, sorry no one in, all of them on the lunchtime. From 9:50am to 2pm Alighment service? Terrible.
