What Others Say

It was my second time buying a car from Bart's Car Store in Fort Wayne IN. Just like the first time my husband and I received an excellent customer service. James Olney was very professional and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure that our car experience was speedy and pleasant. We feel that our new car is exactly what we were looking for and that it was a good deal for us financially. My husband even said that we got "a lot of car for our money".

10 minutes ago New I will never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from them! Bought a vehicle drove it for 4 days not even 500 miles and the engine blew up! I called them because I was told I had 30 days through Bart’s and also purchased the extended warranty for 2200 dollars! I called them the next day and had it towed back out there and I had to pay the tow bill never reimbursed for that! My car sat there for 9 days without any answers and I called every day! I left voicemails for the service department with no return call. On day 9 the salesman called me and said “we think it’s the transmission control module and we can’t get that part it is on back order nation wide, we are really sorry we really tried to help you.” “You will have to take it to your mechanic!” 3 days later I was able to get it towed another tow bill I had to pay. My mechanic found that the starter was not firing so he replaced the starter and it would not start and there was a thud in the motor! With further observation my mechanic found that the motor locked up and due to the motor locking up it burnt up the starter! My mechanic called barts and he was told I bought the extended warranty I would have to call them! So I did and filed a claim they sent out an adjuster and found that there were metal shavings in the oil pan and filter and the oil on the filter was like gum and the oil filter was rock hard! Keep in mind I was told this vehicle was fully serviced when I bought it! That proved to be untrue the adjuster and my mechanic estimated that the oil hadn’t been changed in over 20k miles due to the way the oil filter looked. So they lied! So now the warranty company is voiding my warranty that I paid 2200 dollars for and will not cover the motor! My mechanic was informed that Barts was going to come and get the vehicle! I called them and talked to the salesman’s because the manager wouldn’t talk to me and he wrote a message and I was supposed to get a call back and have not received one! I gave them 22k dollars for a vehicle I drove 4 days and they fraudulently sold me a warranty that is now voided and they will do absolutely nothing! I also over the weekend talked to the manager at the Fort Wayne store his name is Adam and was told that all vehicles are serviced before they are sold and that maybe the salesman’s didn’t know that this one wasn’t serviced and sold it! So you sell me a vehicle that was not serviced and lie to me and now I’m responsible for 10k in repairs! No offer of help a vehicle to drive nothing! I will be taking this further because they sold me a lemon! I am now on day 21 with no vehicle and out a 1k dollar down payment along with a car payment and motor repairs! I will never do business here again!

I punchased a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan from Bart's Car Store in good faith on 01/15/2025. I was told at that point the vehicle had a 30 day warranty, 2 days and 50 later the "check engine light" came on. I went back to the dealership, and expected to leave it there to have them fix it at the shop of their choice. They cleared the trouble code, and told me I needed to call Tom Steele Tire, their preferred repair shop, I did call Tom Steele and set up an appointment. I later read several negative reviews about the quality of their work, so I cancelled. I went to Glenbrook Dodge, who factory trained experts on these vehicles. It was discovered that major engine repairs were needed, to the tune of almost $8,000. I approached Bart's with the findings and was basically told to pound sand. I paid for the repairs, thus depleting my savings account. I had already paid $3,000 cash down on this vehicle, which was priced as if it were perfect. They also refused to honor their 30 day warranty, because I didn't buy their service.contract. The sales manager then told me they didn't make enough money on this sale to do any repairs. After several conversations and running into roadblocks at every turn, I filed suit in smalls claims court, where with the help of a very slick lawyer they were able to lie in open court and get away with it. They treated me like I was stupid and could not possibly know anything about mechanics. I am a licensed aircraft technician and inspector, so nothing could be further from the truth, The judge ruled against me. These people are professional liars, and I now would not buy a roller skate from them

Bart's sold us a truck that needs the frame completely replaced - beware of dealer.

The people at Barts car store were nice and friendly especially Adam Sinclair he did everything he could to help me get a car and i love my car Thank you so much Adam i greatly appreciate all that you did when i need another car will definitely go to Barts Car Store they are the best Thank you from Rhonda Maul

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Troy and all of you there know you did not take care of the issues with my car. You did not do what we agreed to. I was a week from paying my first payment before we got the car back. Broken Promises says everything you need to know about the integrity of Troy and everyone there.
