Bought a 2015 BMW 528i. Turns out it was a massive oil leak, judging by the severity of it I'm sure its going to cost me an arm and a leg. I also apparently forgot some paperwork at their office and they still haven't emailed it to me (it's been 3 days and I've emailed them and called them and they still haven't responded) since it'll take me an hour to drive there to pick it up in person and it'll only take 15 minutes for them to scan and email it to me. My advice, go to a proper name brand dealership (like Toyota or Ford) and not just a used car lot where they might sell you a car with serious problems. When I went to the Kia Dealership in Naples, the manager there told me he wouldn't sell me a BMW I was interested in because it has an engine problem. If I had any common sense I should have realized that these people at Grant Motors ONLY care about money and will smile and treat you "like family" until you've bought the car then they don't care about you.
Buyers Beware!! I am an out of state customer that purchased a Transit Cargo van from Grant motor company Fort Myers. My sales person was Brent and at first he came across as a nice guy until we received the vehicle. Brent insured us that the vehicle goes through a in-depth inspection before it is put out on the lot for sale. We asked all about the service records and if there were any initial findings with the vehicle and he insured us that everything was great. We had to purchase the vehicle before it was shipped to us so we had Brent take a video of the exterior and he ensured us there was only 2 small dents on the body. After receiving the vehicle the problems started. We noticed when the carrier truck pulled up the body of the vehicle was in worse condition than Brent described. We then started to check out the vehicle and identified that the rear door lock motor was shot and would not even lock the door. We immediately called Brent and he said they would order a door lock motor for us and send it up. Well, we never received the door lock motor and had to purchase one. They also charged us for tag and title fee and said the tags would be sent to us , they were never delivered. We called Brent and he was very unprofessional so we asked asked to talk with a manager and demanded a refund for the tag fees that were charged to us. The vehicle went in to get a wrap put on and spent about 3 weeks there. After we picked up the vehicle and started driving it about a week, we started to notice a shudder when driving it. We took it in to a repair shop who then pointed us to a transmission shop because it sounded like a transmission problem. Well what do you know the transmission is bad and needs replacement or full rebuild. We took it for a second opinion and thats exactly whats wrong with it. I called Grant Motor Company and spoke with Carlos the manager and he said the GM would call me back to see what he can do, we have never heard back and non of our calls are returned. I would highly advise against out of state purchasing with this company, unless you want to buy a lemon.
BUYER BEWARE!!! Vehicle required $8000 in repairs! Get any vehicle checked before you buy. Had to keep leaving voice mails with no return calls. Trust me, this dealership will rip you off if they can! They talk about treating you like family?! I don’t want any part of their family!!!
I had one of the best experiences buying my new ride at grant motors. Rick was a friendly salesman who helped me and my family get in to beautiful new suv.
So excited to purchase my new vehicle the staff were great I recommend any every one. I couldn’t have asked for any nicer people.
