I attempted to order a Land Rover Defender from Land Rover Newport Beach and had a very disappointing experience with sales rep John Pham. After sending the exact build I wanted, the confirmed order came back with $2,500 in dealer-added protection packages that I never requested or approved. Within about 15 minutes of receiving the build sheet I asked for those items to be removed and specifically requested the revisions be made immediately so the build would not lock with options I did not authorize. John told me the changes would be made the next day. The following day he said his manager was revising the build and that he would call me shortly, but that call never happened. I was later told the order could no longer be amended because it was the “last day” to change it and that they could possibly discount the vehicle later. I also contacted the dealership and asked for a call back from Victor, the sales manager, and never received a response. Because the order did not reflect the configuration I provided and the communication throughout the process was poor, I cancelled the order and will be placing it with another Land Rover dealership.

I had an amazing experience at Land Rover, Newport Beach. My sales associate, Robert, was so knowledgeable, so kind, and so thorough. He made my time at the dealership feel like a fun field trip with a friend, ending with a new Velar, Range Rover! His attention to detail is unmatched! He is the absolute best! The manager, Dana, could not be nicer and more helpful! Dana and Robert made sure my experience from beginning to end was perfect. And I also truly appreciate their follow up with me to make sure everything was going well. I told my husband about my great experience, and he went the following week and bought a new Defender! I actually live closer to another Land Rover dealer, but would highly recommend Newport Beach as my dealership.

We stopped into Land Rover Newport Beach while visiting California from the East Coast, to check out the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models. We weren’t planning to buy anything on this trip, more just window shopping since our dealership back home is pretty small Ernesto met us right at the door and was absolutely phenomenal! Even after we explained we were out-of-state and likely not purchasing anything that day, he still spent the next hour and a half or more with us, walking us through different models, answering all of our questions, grabbing keys so we could sit inside the different models and sharing insights with such genuine care and enthusiasm!! He even offered us drinks multiple times and insisted on opening every door for us as we moved between buildings! His knowledge of the brand is vast (to say the least), and we left saying we’d happily pay to have a car shipped to South Carolina just to work with him when we're ready to buy one! He’s so kind, so professional, incredibly well-informed, and just a joy to be around! ... Easily one of the best dealership experiences we've ever had, even without making a purchase.
