What Others Say

Twice we have had a negative experience. Communication skill are a F-. Had a safety issue to repair, we live 2+ hours away. Husband made an appointment for a Saturday and said in the comments, "Please let us know if for some reason the part or some other issue would prevent service." Appointment was confirmed. Drove up, and the service man wouldn't do it because he was "short staffed!" It sucks that there are only two Acura dealers in Utah!

Unimpressed with service. Female service rep talking down to me was offensive. Just relocated to Utah and never ever have been talked down to at any Acura dealerships in Ohio/Atlanta and NY. I pray it isn’t like this throughout Utah Acura dealerships.

Every new SUV at Mike Hale Acura leaves with a "Cold Weather Package 2" consisting of floor mats a hard plastic cargo tray, and an inexpensive set of lug locks. My salesman mentioned it, but he made it sound like it was complimentary, never mentioning the cost of the package. Acura also has a package that has mudguards and floormats for $100.00 more They added a hidden charge to the base cost of the vehicle I purchased last week of $608.00 for the less expensive package. This was not entered on the accessories line, miscellaneous line, or build line, just money blended in with the base price of the new SUV. When I asked what the extra $600 was for, Jake told my wife and me for the floormat set. "Everybody gets it." Yes, and at a price that makes Mike Hale happy. I think people challenge this trick every day at this dealership. Well, my bad. I relaxed after I made the deal and let my guard down. Jake, you know very well the ONLY thing I would have gotten was the mudguards. Whether tech's best mats are about $250, with a bed mat. Lug locks like this are less than 15 bucks; they will be rusty in a year. Damnit, I detest throwing money away, but I was exhausted. I have little time left on this earth, and I am trying to make some security for my wife. There must be many dealerships that do stuff like this and worse and do not see anything illegal, immoral, or even working in a shifty grey area. Well, that's the gist of this complaint. I would feel a little better if you read the rest of my rant below. Thank you for going this far if you choose to stop now. My salesman, Jake must have thought it would be funny if I was forced to buy this stuff at $200 over Acura's current list price and then take satisfaction in sending my wife to the parts department to get the mudguards that are in Package One. They cost nearly $200 separately. Nice job Jake, my advocate. Had you been honest with me, the things I needed from you would have cost me under $200 xxx? I am literally at $800 right now. Nice job, very tricky. Don't shake a man's hand if you are stabbing him in the back at the same time. I owned and operated an automotive/industrial radiator shop for 40 years, and that is not the way I would "take care" of my customers. Why would Jake not offer me the better “All Season Package One” with splash guards rather than pushing "All Season Package Two" off on me at six hundred dollars? That is $200 more than if I had ordered them with a new car. Why would he fail to offer me the choice of package 1 or 2 when he had just sent my wife and son to the parts department to buy the OEM splash guards, which are included in option 1? Because you are charging me $605.00 for a set of floormats, a package that sells for $419.00 as an already overpriced order option is my guess. Folks, I seriously recommend that you go elsewhere for Accura Sales and Service. These salesmen are real pros, they know tricks you don't see, and they have no compunction about picking the pocket of an old man and woman. I wish my son had not left. The preceding is my own opinion and posted as a review of this company. It falls within my First Amendment rights. I gave you over a week to correct this.

Mark is a fantastic salesmen. He is very knowledgeable about the vehicle. This was the easiest and smooths car purchase I have made. Mark even took time after they were closed to show all the features on our new car.

I got my Acura MDX as a xmas present. I am so disappoint, I got very few of the things that I really wanted in my new car as I had waited 5 years to get it. Because I needed a seven seater I could not get the advance package, but what the sales person did not bother say if I waited a month I could have the upgrades I really wanted. The day after buying our MDX I got a email saying the 2022 would be out on the 1st of February, we called the sales man and said we wanted to change the car for a new model and was told that we could not do that, we had not even picked up the vehicle at this point. I will never go to Mike Hale again.

Fabulous experience working with Mike Hale Acura. They have serviced my previous vehicle for years and due to their honesty and fantastic service I knew I wanted to buy my next car from them. They did not disappoint. I’m sure they gave me the greatest value for the best price available and I’m thrilled to have an Acura certified vehicle that I’ll continue to service at Mike Hale!
