My Review of Big Red Sports & Imports:
HOWS THIS FOR A DEALERSHIP STORY?
I was recently in a car accident (not my fault), which left me without a vehicle, and looking for a replacement. I saw an add for a truck they posted on craigslist for 9988 dollars. It seemed like a fairly clean truck so I decided to go check it out. It was dark and just started raining that evening but I figured I'd give it a look. It seemed like a fairly nice truck... detailed to the nines, but I was told that it did have a rip on the passenger side seat which wasent too big of a problem, so after test driving it I decided to go for it. We started to do the paperwork which was fine other than them trying to sell me a bunch of crap I didnt need. I got home with the truck to find, after the second day of rain, that the cab had a leak in it. The truck was obviously previously owned by a smoker from what I smelled, but I wasnt told about all the ciggarette burns hidden inbetween the seats, one so bad it melted the plastic on the backside of the cup holders. Some of the LEDs on the tail AND brake lights were inoperative. C'mon, isn't this stuff their service department is supossed to check out before they throw it on the lot? Anyways, after the weekend passed I decided to call my bank (the origional lender) to see if the loan was approved. In between the time we did the paperwork, and the time the loan application hit the banks desk I was hit with identity theft and it dropped my credit lower than they would have taken to approve the loan. I called the dealership to tell them the story and decided after all the hassle with the lender and the problems dicovered with the truck that it would be best to go ahead and take it back. When I got there they brought me into this little room to try and get me to refinance the contract. They told me they found a lender to finance me, but at a rediculous interest rate, higher payments, and shorter payment period. By this time I was a little bit frustrated with the situation, because half their staff ended up in that little room to try and convince me to take the crappier deal, including one co-owner. They asked my what they could do to get my bussiness, so I told them I'd take the truck if they can lower the truck price given all the problems I discovered and drop the warrenty plan they sold to me off the contract all together (they didn't tell me that in addition to raising my payments 3 or 4 dollars a month for the warrenty, which is what we agreed, it would also tack 6 extra payments on the end of my term, which was completely against what was agreed apon seeing as how I specifically asked if the price was only reflected onto my origional payments ONLY, but they they screwed me over in the fine print anyways.) They refused to change up anything to accomodate me, then the co-owner told me he wouldn't sell me the truck no matter what and litterally crumpled up the last offer they showed me (the one that was almost painful to look at) and told me to get out. I left that little room and the dealership to realize that I left my phone there. I went back five minutes later to get my phone out of that room, which is where I had it last to see that it wasnt there. It was set on loud so I figured it'd be easy to find, but no. It wasn't on me, or in my friends car who picked me up. Their staff told me I wasn't allowed in that room again because they were doing more bussiness there and they'd call me if they found the phone. a month later still no call on the phone. I swear I left in that room. Also the other day I found out they farmed my information out to seven different lenders after I told them the first one wasn't gonna do it due to my situation, but what do they care? It's not their credit they're screwing. The review below me says the good reveiws never get out because people don't care about writting a review unless they're ticked off. I don't believe that. In between Big red getting busted for putting OU football players on their payroll fraudulantly, all their better BBB complaints compaired to other dealerships (just look it up), and all these severely negative reviews... It's pretty plain to see... a lot of their previous customers are labeling them shady... you're buying at your own risk.
