My Review of D&C Honda of Tenafly:
My wife and I have recently leased a couple of Accords from D&C Honda. One of them was going off-lease this month and they’ve been sending us mail and leaving voice mails to come in and discuss what our options are. Generally speaking, we’ve been very satisfied with D&C in general and with their service department in particular. We always had the cars serviced exclusively at D&C since is was one town away from our house.

One of my kids is graduating next month and we wanted to buy a new Accord and my wife wanted to lease a new Pilot. I told her to go to the showroom and have a look at the models and test drive what she was interested in. My wife, with your mail asking us to come in and talk in her hand, sat down with one of D&C’s salesmen (not Jerry).

During the course of their conversation, my wife asked a simple question about financing options. The salesman told her “I don’t know much about finance terms. Most of our customers can afford to write a check.”

What could he have meant from this comment except as an attempt to insult my beautiful Asian wife.

We went down the street to DeFeo BMW and bought a nice 328 and leased an X5 for my wife. Those salesmen really know how to treat their customers whether they are women, Asians or whatever.

It’s funny. Before this incident I would have thought the BMW guys to be more inclined to act as arrogant snobs.

This was my first time leasing a Honda (accord) ....I love it! Kristen was great! She knows the car inside and out ... I was very comfortable dealing with her .she was friendly and very knowledgeable ...i never felt rushed or pushed into a nything ....... she went over the car with me thoroughly! All and all i was extremely satisfied and would highly recommend the Honda Accord as well as Kristen ........ thanx, Kristen for everything!

My Review of D&C Honda of Tenafly:
I would stay away from this dealership! they are nothing but a bunch of lies, trying to make you believe that other dealers will charge you hidden fees, and also trying to get you to believe that their price is the most fair one out there. I see comments everywhere saying that people have purchased the car of their choice at another dealership for less than what D&C Honda of Tenafly offered. I dealt with internet sales inquiring about an accord. First, i told them what another dealership has offered to me, and asked if they could price match. This is where the rudeness began, the speaker on the phone didn't care about the price the other dealer gave me and proceded to brain wash me by saying they have the best and fair deal and that i am getting lied to and ripped off. It was very ironic that she was saying i'm getting lied to by the other dealership when she was lying to me all along. Now that my name was in the system, she proceded to call me day after day, week after week, spamming my voicemail like an annoying telemarketer trying to get a sale. I told them to please take me off the list because i have bought the car elsewhere at a CHEAPER price. I have friends and family who also own honda's and have visited this dealership, they all tell me that this dealership is the one who usually gives the highest quotes. They stand by their reputation telling me the same robotic crap that they've been family owned for 70+ years and that a good majority of their customers are repeat. I don't need to hear that crap everyday, i just want to buy a car.. Stay away from this dealership! Other dealerships offer better prices!!

Secondly, i own an 2006 Atomic Blue Civic sedan. I needed touch up paint for my car because of some rock chips that chipped off the paint in my front bumper. Nothing serious, just minor. I went to DCH Paramus Honda and asked if they had any available. All i asked for was, "do you have any atomic blue touch up paint for a 2006 Civic." the girl kindly replied saying they are out of stock now but will have some probably next week.. I figured, D&C Honda of Tenafly would have it, so i went to the service, spoke to some young guy in the parts section and asked, "do you have Atomic Blue touch up paint for a 2006 civic." he tells me, whats the paint code of your civic? I asked, why do you need it when i'm telling you the color is Atomic Blue?, he then proceeded and asked where my car was? i said it's outside and he asked to take a look at it. I brought him to my car and this is why i will never come back to this dealer ever. He tried to give me a smart*** remark by saying "that looks like Royal Blue to me" with a rude tone voice. This guy was trying to make me a fool by saying my car looked like a Royal Blue? I know the difference between Atomic Blue and Royal Blue, i bought the car KNOWING what color i WANTED and GOT. And you have this know-it-all parts guy asking for a paint code when i clearly said my car was Atomic Blue, and proceeds to deny me that my car looked like Royal Blue.... He finally looked at the paint code and admitted his mistake saying that it is the color i asked for, Atomic Blue. I just laughed in his face and left. I will never go to this dealership ever for sales or service, even if it was the last one on Earth.

I RECENTLY LEASED A 09 HONDA PILOT FROM D&C HONDA IN TENAFLY NJ.. I SPENT A FEW WEEKS LOOKING AT OTHER CAR MODELS.I FOUND THIER SALESWOMAN KRISTEN TEDESCO TO BE AN EXCELLENT ONE.SHE KNEW THE CAR,NEGOTIATED WITH ME,ALL WHILE MAKING THE EXPERIENCE SEEM FAIR AND WITHOUT STRESS..

I came in looking to buy a Ridgeline. The sales woman Kristen was excellent in helping me select which would be best for me. I decided on purchasing a used 2006 Ridgeline. The delivery process was great,the vehicle was waiting for me when I arrived. Kristen went over the features of the vehicle with me. I was really impressed by her knowledge and expertise with Honda. She was professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend her and the dealership. I am extremely happy I chose Honda.

My Review of D&C Honda of Tenafly:
Richard Knel was a wonderful salesman to deal with. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles and he was incredibly kind and accommodating. I took two test-drives with him and he really was wonderful. I'd recommend him again many times.

Ray Gesell was wonderful also when it came time for the business end. He also made the experience very easy and he too was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Also, Karen Hohmann, who works in your reception area and is a high school friend of mine, is the one who recommended your dealership to me.

All in all, a VERY nice experience.

I came in for wheel locks and the service department was also very nice.

My Review of D&C Honda of Tenafly:
I bought my first car with Kristen 2 1/2 years ago. She made me feel comfortable right away.. I was just browsing and she told me all about the car I was looking at, she is very knowledgeable. I came back later that week and test drove a CRV with her, I really believe that it takes a while to know a car, I have to say I took Kristen out for over 40 minutes. She never rushed me and I got the feel for the car and bought it that day.
now its two years later and I was involved in an accident which required me to purchase another car. I went right to Kristen and we took out a Honda Accord. Again Kristen knew everything about the vehicle ( it has a lot of extras to learn about! ) After driving the car
we sat down and after a brief negotiation ( no nonsense at all ) , I drove out with a 2009 Accord.

WORST EXPERIENCE IN A DEALER EVER. VERY DOMINATING SALES PERSON IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE BUYING FROM DEALERS LIKE ME DONT GO TO THIS DEALER. HE KNOWS WHAT TO SAY TO YOU TO LURE YOU INTO BUYING FROM THEM, EVEN FOOL YOU THAT YOU ARE GETTING A BIG DISCOUNT ONLY TO FIND OUT YOU PAYED FOR MSRP PRICE. i BOUGHT A CAR THEY TOLD ME I WILL GET A FRIENDS FAMILY DISCOUNT SINCE MY PARENTS ARE CLIENTS OF MARK RANDAL ONLY TO FIND OUT IN THE NEWSPAPER THAT I BOUGHT THE CAR AT THE LISTED PRICE. I FELT LIKE I WAS RIPPED OFF SQUEEZED ME TO GIVE OUT MY LAST PENNY FOR THE DOWN PAYMENT.DEALER SAID 12.99 APR BUT INSTEAD I GOT A 20.14 APR!!! 17,000 USED 5 YEAR OLD CAR TOTALED TO 28,000 CHANGED MY MIND AFTER HOURS OF BUYING,DEALER ONLY HELPFUL WHILE BUYING FOR THIER PROFIT BUT UPON CHANGING MY MIND DEALER BECAME VERY RUDE AND UNWELCOMING NOT PICKING UP CALLS. EXPERIENCE IS A DISASTER. I STILL HAVE GOTTEN BACK MY DOWN PAMENT MONEY $8000 ITS BEEN A WEEK NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 2 MORE WEEKS.3 WEEKS OF HOLDING MY MONEY??? ISNT THAT ILLEGAL???? i WILL NEVER RETURN THERE EVER AGAIN.
