My overall experience with the Serra Honda team was outstanding. James and Josh are fair and honest and worked to meet my wishes for a new car. My phone calls were always answered by one of these gentlemen, and my questions were as well.
I would recommend Serra Honda.

My Review of Serra Honda:
I was told my Mr. Holley to contact him about getting my second key (car was bought with only one key) and I was rudely told that "I have two keys at least" (the valet and one programmed key). I stopped attempting to contact them about getting the key that was not mines and have decided that in order to get another key I have to pay the $100.00 for the key. I was okay with dealing with the salesman but was told by Mr. Holley to contact him about it, if he didn't want to be bothered he should have never offered his service or assistance. Even though I did care too much for the after sale service from Mr. Holley I will still made referrals to Honda but will be sure to tell them not to do business with Mr. Holley.

Overall, I am still happy with my service received....

The above situation was taken care of immediately after posting of this review. I received a phone call from Jackie Landers who assured me that I would be given a second key and that it would be at no cost to me. Due to the treatment that I had previously I was hesitant to even continue to deal with it however I took her up on her offer to come into the dealership on that date and get it taken care of. When I arrived I was greeted by Candace who was very polite, as I was waiting Ms. Landers came out to meet me and again apologized for the above treatment and to assure me that things would be taken care of. Thanks to Ms. Landers, Candace, and Chris Biship for helping to making what I thought was going to end as a bad experience...a really good one. (customer service after the sale :-)!!!!!

My Review of Serra Honda:
I was in need of a vehicle really really bad by the time I visited Serra Honda. I figured a Honda would be out of my budget range so I didn't want to get myself disappointed.

I made a visit to this dealership the first time just wanting to check if a Honda Accord could fit into my budget. I've always wanted a Honda Accord but I was looking for something I could afford vs. what I really wanted. I had already almost committed to the purchase of another vehicle but wanted to check. I met with Mr. Chisolm on that first day and was very pleased with the service received from him. It was a no pressure experience, which was a really big surprise considering I had been feeling car pressure throughout the car buying process I was in. I left on that date with only a card from the salesman. I received a call from Mr. Chisolm the next day telling me about a vehicle that was just brought into the dealership that would be a good price for me. Of course I had my doubts about it, I went ahead and went by and checked out this car (I had already made up my mind that I was not going to like the car because I was not going to be able to afford it). I told them my numbers and with my trade was able to get exactly what I wanted for what I could afford.

Once I test drove the car I really wanted it but I just knew that it was not going to fit my budget at all so I made sure not to get to attached. Well I left the dealership on that evening with the car that I have always wanted to have ..... a Honda Accord (even got a few bells and whistles). My experience was really good throughout the purchasing process.

The only thing that I did no like about my experience with Serra is that I was only able to get one programmed key and the valet key because the key was with one of the managers wife. I am now having to purchase another programmed key for my vehicle so that I can keep the additional key with my parents (so that I can get in the car when I lose my key or lock myself out). Even with this I was happy with my experience with Serra Honda especially the salesman Mr. Chisolm.

My Review of Serra Honda:
We found a certified used Honda at this dealership, and agreed on a price with Lajuana prior to making the trip from Huntsville. Her level of service was great, and everything was as she had described. There was a minor scratch on one of the doors, and they were repairing it as we arrived. The car had not been detailed due to this delay from repair work, but allowed us to see that the previous owners had taken good care of the vehicle.

One concern we had was that of the Certified Honda status. The window sticker was checked with WARRANTY, but inside we were immediately asked to sign a paper stating that the car was being sold with NO WARRANTY - AS IS. We were recorded with CCTV in the business department and were treated unprofessionally by John Willis, Finance Manager. He was intolerant of our questions, and generally acted as if we were an inconvenience to him.

After walking out and being pursued by the Assistant Manager, who guided us through the Certified Honda process, we purchased the car.

We were told that John Willis had been at odds with customers (and sales people) before, and suggested that he be counseled on professionalism.


Overall, we were satisfied with the car, but probably won't be back.

My Review of Serra Honda:
I was a long loyal customer at Neil Bonnett Honda for 20 years. I had one salesman for those years and thought I would never experience that type of service again after they sold to Serra. I purchased my first Honda from Serra in 2008. It was an ok experience. But this experience in 2011 was much like my long time experience of 20 years. I felt like my Sales person was all about meeting my needs. I was there getting my beautiful Honda Fit serviced...a car that I loved, but it was not my "Dream" car. Jayson, the financial manager struck a conversation with me and it was as if we were instant friends. After convincing me to just "drive" my dream car he connected me with James my salesman. They made me believe that owning my "dream" car was possible. There was no pressure. They assured me that after I drove it, if I didn't want to talk about it, there would be no pressure. They stuck to their word...of course, I wanted to talk about it because I fell in love with the Crosstour. I have driven a Honda for 23 years. Once I bought my first civic, I have never driven anything else but a Honda(civics, accords, CRVs, and the FIT). When I first saw the Crosstour 3 years ago, I didn't think I would ever be able to drive one. Well, they made it happen. I left Serra Honda a very happy and very satisfied customer. James has kept in contact with me to make sure I am still happy. He really made the deal go through because I didn't feel judged by the "mess in my car".. He assured me that it was no big deal and definitely not a problem. He took the time to sit with me in the car and answer any questions that I had. No question was too dumb or too simple. He made sure the detailing on my car was up to par and even took it back when I wasn't completely satisfied. I have since called him because I found some spots on my leather and he told me to just bring it back and if he had to handle it himself he would...Thank you James and thank you Jayson for having that initial conversation with me.
