In Georgia for military assignment. A handyman recommended Hamby for my vehicle's service. I needed a fuel filter replacement. I called Service and a nice lady named Brandi gave me an appointment. I went in the day of appointment at 10 a.m. and she tested my truck and wrote up my paperwork. Work was completed and at 1043 a.m. she accompanied me to the cashier. There, the cashier with initials AH was quick and very nice as well. I mentioned to her, I liked her writing pen I used to sign paperwork. She gave the pen to me! I was so pleased with the service as well as the friendly and welcoming attitude. My Suburban is new, 2023, so I won't be buying anytime soon, but I will recommend family members to buy from Hamby Automotive. The people here made my day very pleasant!!!! Thank you!!
I was traveling from Florida to TN and had an issue with my 2018 Equinox. The shifter locked up and would not come out of park. Had the car towed to Hamby Sunday morning and stayed the night there. The next morning, as soon as they opened, I spoke with Brian the Service Manager and he said he would do his best to work me in. By 8:30 a mechanic was working on my car and by 10 am, it was finished and I was very pleased with not only the above way they stepped out to help me, but the time in doing so. My hat is off to Hamby Chevrolet and their employee's. Excellent service! Thank you again!
I have a 2005 Silverado with electrical problems others could not figure out.
The dealerships in Macon were no help. They wouldn't even talk about it because they don't want to work on anything more than 10 or 12 years old.
Terri and Brandi at Hamby were very helpful when I explained my situation and they said they would try to find the problem for me and they did. They really know their stuff and I am so thankful they helped me when no one else would.

I had been trying to find a new GMC Sierra and looked everywhere, I found one at Hamby in Perry ga. This dealership is about 75 miles from my home. When I pulled onto their lot, My salesman Mr. Willie Stripling, walked out of the dealership and met me immediately. Pleasant personality and very knowledgeable of the vehicle. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and kind. No pressure whatsoever. Best auto buying experience ever, and I have bought a lot of vehicles in my life. I recommend this dealership to anyone wanting to purchase a vehicle. They are the best
My husband and I purchased a pre owned truck from Hamby. My husband noticed that the truck had a vibration at 65-70 mph during the test drive. The salesman, Willie, reassured us that the vibration would be fixed. It was documented in the paperwork. After 3 trips to the dealership and spending several hours waiting, the vibration is still there. The truck had newer All Terrain tires. We were assured that the tires were good, and the truck had been looked over by their certified mechanics. After these the visits, the problem is not resolved. The dealership only offered to replace the All Terrain tires with street tires from the warehouse. We paid well over $60,000 for this truck. The price reflects the all terrain tires that we liked, not a street tire. The dealership refused to replace the tires with comparable ones. If the certified mechanics drove this truck prior to it being placed on the lot, they knew there was a problem and did not resolve it. The General Manager, Boris Kostovetsky, said he couldn’t do anything other than replace the tires with the street tires. For a company who repeatedly told us that they take pride in doing fair business their actions don’t reflect this. They even made several comments about another GM dealership and their unfair business dealings. We had planned to return soon to purchase a Tahoe, but we will go elsewhere. Beware if you find an issue during a test drive. They will document the issue and reassure you that it will be fixed. It may not be fixed to your satisfaction.
