I drove 2 hours to buy a car here because sales rep Joseph confirmed a price of $14,000 flat was approved over the phone. Once I arrived, the deal changed. Martin claimed that price was never agreed to. Then, he and the manager Evan justified the higher price by claiming the car came with expensive tracking/alarm equipment that was "already installed and priced in." I accepted Evan’s explanation and agreed to pay the higher price. However, after I declined the extended warranty, I discovered during the final paperwork that they had included a form for me to "decline" the very equipment used to justify the markup. This was a major contradiction: Evan refused to discount the car because the equipment was "included in the value," but after I declined the warranty, the paperwork was set up to deactivate that equipment. They never even asked if I wanted to pay to keep it active. They simply removed it without discussion because I didn't buy the extra warranty. You cannot use equipment to justify a higher price and then remove it because a customer declines an upsell. The entire process took 7 hours (1pm - 8pm). Instead of honoring their word or explaining the changes clearly, the team relied on confusing tactics. The car is fine, but the sales process was exhausting and misleading.
I had an amazing purchase experience, starting with a fantastic and responsive young salesman Andrew D. His communication response time was very quick. We connected via phone and I did all the negotiating over the phone, they were able to dealer trade to get the exact vehicle my wife and I were searching for (2026 Ash Green Passport Elite). Cody the Sales Manager took the reigns to acquire the car while Andrew and I finalized our deal. I then worked with Cody for the add ons I did want, and did not have to fight about add ons I didn't want. Being part of a massive chain for Lithia Motors, I opted for the lifetime oil change since they have so many destinations in North America. Even if we move out of state, we have confidence we can utilize and take full advantage of this prepaid service. And although I whole heartedly trust Honda quality, with a new model year, and even more electronics in a vehicle, I opted for the 7yr/80k warranty, something I typically would not buy. I got a great deal on the purchase and used some of those savings to invest back into the vehicle since we plan to keep the vehicle a very long time. Cristian in finance was quick and to the point since we knew we would use Honda finance for this purchase, and we had no interest in any other offers that finaince folks may try to upsell.. Everything was seemless and all was in order for when we arived in person to pick up the vehicle. Great team at DCH Honda of Temecula. It was worth our 60 mile commute to complete this deal! I highly recommend.
I was in need of a car and called but they were closing so I was rushed through the sale. I could've waited a day but they insisted I go in. The car didn't even seem washed for 5 years but it was exactly what I wanted. A couple of months later radiator fluid floods the oil and the car is now trash. It was sold to me with a failing head gasket. The previous owner still had things in it so I reached out to them and they were aware. Mentioned that is why they traded the car in. I had to buy a Tesla a couple months after my dream Accord and now I am paying for both cars. The Tesla was even cheaper with lower miles and problem free. DCH refused to help me in any way because the car was used and purchased as is. I have a $25,000 Accord sitting in my garage collecting dust.
Their "Lowest Price Guarantee" is total xx. I provided a written quote from another dealership, using the Costco Auto Buying service. They refused to beat the total MSRP, match it and also refused to send me a written quote with their best price. STAY FAR AWAY from this dealership if you value integrity and transparency. They will rob you blind.
Jose and Corey Gnomes were very helpful while going through the car buying process. Corey took a lot of time and explained everything about the car's functions to us and we asked many questions because there was so much new technology! Love our new Honda CRV !
