What Others Say

Great staff undercut by a sales manager’s conduct My wife and Mother-in-Law came to Safford Brown Toyota of Glen Burnie yesterday with a pre-negotiated price for a new car. They made the trip specifically because the numbers were agreed to ahead of time. First, the positives: Jonathan the sales rep and the finance manager were excellent—clear, courteous, and respectful. They listened, explained options without pressure, and made us feel like valued customers. Even went the extra mile to show my MIL how to connect bluetooth and other features in the car. Unfortunately, the experience was derailed by sales manager Jonell Posadas. His approach to the already-settled price was condescending and dismissive. Challenging a pre-agreed number and speaking down to not only my wife and MIL is not how you do business today. It wasted their time, eroded trust, and overshadowed the good work of the rest of the team. What went wrong: We arrived with a price that had been confirmed in advance thru text messages. Instead of honoring it, the sales manager reopened the numbers and talked down to my family while doing so. The tone and attitude were unprofessional and unnecessary. Bottom line: When customers take you at your word and show up ready to buy, you honor the agreement and treat them with respect. Anything less is a breach of trust. To management: Please empower the people who are doing it right (Jonathan and your finance manager) and address this behavior at the sales manager level. Consistency, professionalism, and honoring commitments matter. I’m leaving one star not because the entire team failed—many did well—but because one person’s conduct ruined the experience and called the dealership’s integrity into question. You just don’t do that.

TLDR: A great no pressure place to buy a new Toyota. A fantastic stress free experience purchasing my 2024 Toyota Prius XLE and trading in my 2014 Ford Focus. My car sales associate was Dulane Barnes who acted professionally throughout the whole process. He did not give me any round about talk and always was straight to the point with no pressure and always provided me with additional options when one wasn't available. He was very respectful of my time going above and beyond to provide me transportation after trading in my Ford. I was given a fair trade in value for my Ford and was provided quotes from three different sources to explain the number given. Mr. Barnes was professional and personable throughout the whole process and it is appreciated. Sean was my finance associate for the process. He was also very professional, took the time to explain all options, provided me quickly with my temporary tags & registration, and did not pressure me to purchase any additional plans. I had Jazzmine as my customer service representative who acted as quality control. She was very professional and courteous when inquiring about the process I went through to ensure that I had a good experience and what could have been done to improve it. The only recommendation I have, it's not really feasible, would be a snack/small meal (not vending machine) for those who are present more than four hours within the store. Over all the experience was much better than I had been anticipating and I recommend Safford Brown for Sales. Very Respectfully, Shea

Safford Brown is an immaculate and professional dealership. I am the proud owner of my first Toyota (Crown) thanks for Steve Yang. Steve is very knowledgable and ensured all our needs were met. He does not pressure, he’s a very good listener and has a great personality. If you are in search of your next vehicle, I would highly recommend Steve Yang at Safford Brown.

I recently purchased a used car at Safford Brown Toyota in Glen Burnie. My own indecision made the process more complicated than it needed to be. Despite that, Matt Werner was patient and empathetic. I’m certain the sale wouldn’t have gone through without his efforts on my behalf. He took the time to come to my office with the paperwork because my work demands. Usually when you go to buy a used car you feel like a victim from the start to the finish. Matt and the team at Safford did the opposite. I am grateful for their efforts and I love the car. I would certainly trust Matt Werner for another purchase.

Impressed by the professionalism and dedication at Toyota safford brown. Found the perfect car, Ray ensured a seamless purchase process, he is definitely the best sales man I’ve ever dealt with. Exceptional customer service! 5 stars and highly recommended! Wowed by the extensive inventory and top-notch service! The team went above and beyond to find my wife’s car. Smooth transaction and follow-up. 5 stars and a loyal customer! I wanna thank Sean the financing manager as well, he also made me feel comfortable getting my first leasing

The representatives in the service area lack communication skills. Automatically become hostile when asked any questions. As if I don’t have a right to be curious about my car. And demonstrate a lack of respect especially if you are young and African American.
