I took my 2009 Hyundai Elantra in for a recall on the ABS on September 15th, having made an appointment on the phone with Mike. When I got there, no appointment but they would "squeeze me in". Before doing the replacement, they performed a "safety check" on several parts. They told me my cabin and engine filters needed replacing ($147) and that my "boot" would fail inspection. Firstly, I had my car inspected on August 21st. Secondly, my son is a mechanic so I know air filters are not expensive nor are they hard to install so I declined their offer to replace them for $147. When I left the lot I noticed my driver's door ajar light was on. I opened and slammed it several times before the light went off. I purchased my cabin and engine filters from an auto parts store for $32 and replaced them. I continued to have trouble with the door ajar to the point that it was draining my battery. I bought a new battery, in spite of Grappone telling me it was good, I had to keep jumping it. I finally took it to my son who said it looked like someone had kicked the door out of alignment. He fixed it but I didn't have any issues prior to my ABS replacement. I will not be going there again.
Wonderful Service! Joe Hardy and Marc Catino made the process go very smoothly! Highly reccomend!
We wanted to get a car for our daughter to upgrade her from the one that she was driving now. Our daughter found one that she liked and asked that we go down and pick it up for her if everything was good. I have been banking with Navy Federal Credit Union since I graduated from boot camp 20 years ago. So naturally that is who we financed the car through, they approved us for an amount that was in our daughters budget and we made an appointment to see the car that she wanted. We brought the bank draft check with us to see the car and were ready to sign all the paperwork and drive away. However, we were then told that Grappone has a long standing policy to not accept bank draft checks as they claim a national bank has burned them in the past. This seemed skeptical and unlikely and more like a ploy to try and have us finance through Grappone. So we had to walk away and our daughter was disappointed. She later called about the policy and was told that Grappone only accepts bank drafts from USAA. This is very alarming and in direct contradiction to what we were told in person which is that they don't accept them from any bank. It would appear your only options at Grappone are to have cash or finance through them.
My wife bought a 2016 Santa Fe in Dec 2015 and had a wonderful experience, so I figured I would give them a look. I had an excellent experience with Melvin and the entire Grappone team. The whole sales department was very nice and helpful. The finance department worked wonderfully for me (I don't have the best credit). I drove out with a pre-owned Honda Accord, that I can afford and feel confident about. I will definitely be looking for my daughter's first car here in a few years. I cannot say enough great things about The Grappone experience!
What an awful experience. Worked a deal over the phone/e-mail only to get to dealership to find out they never looked into my trade which I gave all types information. This was an important to me as I had to drive an hour to get there. Then had me place a $500 deposit to hold the car. Asked if I want to take car home get an insurance policy which I did. When I arrived it seemed they never even looked at information I sent. Offered me roughly $1,300 under what I asked I needed from NADA value. I would never buy from this dealership... Purchase so many cars over the year and never left a dealership like that. Awful.. To boot it was the sales manager... Lindsay Gordon
I only take my 2014 Hyundai to Grappone Hyundai . Always exceptional service for start to end. The service department goes above and beyond for his customers.
